    Another Blackhand Nerf

    Blackhand's Demolition ability now deals 20% less damage and his Massive Demolition ability now deals 5% less damage on Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties.
    Previous nerfs from April 1st:

    Blackhand
    Blackhand's health has been reduced by 5% on Mythic difficulty.
    Blackhand's Massive Shattering Smash ability now deals 25% less damage on Mythic difficulty.
    Iron Soldiers' health has been reduced by 15% on Mythic difficulty.
    Currently there are 305 Mythic Blackhand Kills, we should be looking at 500-600 in one week's time.

    HFC must be coming sooner than expected.

    patch comes out 23rd june latest. probably early june now.

    makes sense to nerf it now and give guilds 6 weeks to kill/farm his loot

    no issue with the nerf tbh, p1 is fucking dumb tbh

    I expect also a huge health nerf next week or two. They are removing the need to stack hunters even more.

    P1 nerf; shame. My guild is wiping constantly on P2, pls nerf people stepping on mines, getting fixated by wrong siegemaker, getting hit by impale and not getting up on balcony.

    Honestly that's where I thought they would nerf the boss to begin with. P1 is pretty demoralizing phase even with all the changes to the boss until you get your shit figured out. P2 is still the bulk of the encounter, and this will certainly throw people into P2 far more often.

    They probably won't nerf him anymore, the next nerf will likely be a flat 5-10% health nerf when 6.2 comes out, and it will likely be applied to the whole dungeon.

    yes, nerfing the easiest phase will miraculously make 300 kills appear in less than a week. a 5% nerf on the ability which chunks people really won't make much of a difference, the dps reqs in that phase are a joke post the first nerfs anyway. You can just have Melee run with the Ranged camp if they keep dying and still easily make the dps check.

    The obscenities my guild leader throws out when he rolls to move Blackhand closer to the tank and then gets fixated despite a ranged being closer.

    I really can't imagine this doing too much for normal and heroic, since Phase 2 is more of the make it or break it point. Personally, I think if the siege tanks energy filled slower so they could stay up longer without fire it could help. But that probably would be too much.

    If you had attempted the fight, you would know that this nerf changes absolutely nothing. Demolition damage in p1 is not the problem.

    305 kills in 10 weeks (since Method)...

    but we are going to add another 200-300 in 1 week because of a small nerf to P1...

    Ok buddy. I guess by this logic we can expect WoW to keep losing 2.9 million every quarter and that the game won't exist in 9 months... or maybe Blizzard will have negative subscribers and will be paying us.

    Look the next patch is almost here, and blackhand is really a boss MUCH tougher than any MOP normal bosses, on its heroic difficulty, i think he was overtuned, the first week of H blackhand was ridiculous.


    AS for mythic , he had alot less nerfs total, but demolition was so powerful, that you would HAVE to bench warriors and DKS becuase they would die simply to the damage. It just allows for a more diverse comp.

    this is false, depending on what tactic you used you could either chain a major cd (slt, barrier etc) on your melee camp and have them stand at the south side of the inner circle whilst the range ran in a crescent, or you could have melee run with the ranged during demolition. the hp nerf made the dps reqs in p1 fairly low, so either tactic worked. Saying certain classes are so bad that you "HAVE" to bench them is ridiculous, rofl. Even some the top guilds were bringing dks, dps monks etc pre nerf.

    1000% accurate. Once you experience the real issues of the fight p1 is just a picnic to get you into the later bits.

    Honestly WHY this nerf is completely pointless

    This nerf will help no one, guilds that can't make it past phase 1 at this point there's no way they're going to make it through phase 2 and people who have already got phase 1 down pat don't need this nerf.

    Phase 1 is the easiest phase, If this nerf helps you make it through to phase 2, what's the point? There's literally no way you're going to be able to kill him anyway.

    This nerf is obviously to make phase 1 a little more melee friendly

    Right now everybody and their mothers ban anything but rogues and tanks to be in melee.

    All our Blackhand kills have used 5 melee (6 different players among all kills) and we only have 1 rogue. Rogue, two ferals, Ret Paladin, Warrior and Enh Shaman are people we've used and none of them run out to ranged during demolition.

    I don't think it means sooner than expected, personally. Still on track for a June release imo. I'd expect some sort of zone-wide flat nerf when T18 opens, but they might even nerf this fight further since Fox is going away. Expecting a lot of Clefthoof selling this xpac with so much time to do it.
