I really, 100% was sure that this cannot have been an original text. Even after so much time I could not have imagined Trump would write something like “in my great and unmatched wisdom”. I honestly thought it was a parody account or something that went to far.

This tweet alone should be proof that he is losing his last grasp on reality.

They must, with Europe and others, watch over the captured ISIS fighters and families.

These are very mixed messages...I thought he wanted to kill their families.

Is this really that out of sync with the rest of his masturbatory hyperbole? I mean, I give him credit for using "unmatched" because that seems above his usual level of English, but this seems pretty routine for Trump when talking about his "greatness".

Minneapolis police union releases "Cops for Trump" t-shirts ahead of president's visit https://t.co/Ax6sqN9Grh https://t.co/0RoFhuRLBH
    https://twitter.com/thehill/status/1...381846529?s=19

This was news in my local paper, but now has become national news.

So the story goes that a new policy from police chief that off-duty cops could no longer wear police uniforms while working political events.

This change did happen on the eve of a Trump rally in Minneapolis. The MPD have stated this policy has been in the pipeline for a while. Take it for what it's worth.

Well now the police union had of course decided to print pro Trump shirts.

I'm not shocked really that some, not all of the police are in support. Not surprised for the fact since the makeup of the MPD and the I guess police loving an authoratarian figure.

Now by the union being mad at what they claim is a political motivation by thus making their own political motivation should have wondering. Add to the fact Trump has trashed so many law enforcement agencies.

Edit: To clear my story up the Trump shirts are being sold to the public, not worn by the police.

Good. Turkey needs to be put in line. Getting tired of their threats to EU and blackmailing + shit they did to Kurds.

That's kind of the opposite of what's happening. Trump's letting them hit Syria. He threatened to destroy their economy if they stepped out of line...but after what Saudi Arabia did to a journalist, what Iran did to Saudi Arabia, what Netanyahu did to the Palestinians, what North Korea did several times last month, and what Turkey does on a routine basis, what is out of line? Because he's ruled a lot of it out.

Turkey needs to be put in line...

... So Trump is pulling all the troops out of the region, and letting Turkey steamroll the Kurds in Syria

Right... Great plan from a bunch of navel geniuses

In a lengthy tweetstorm, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., a fierce Trump loyalist, tore into the decision, calling it a “disaster in the making.”

Graham predicted the move “Ensures ISIS comeback,” “Forces Kurds to align with Assad and Iran” and “Destroys Turkey’s relationship with U.S. Congress,” and called it a “stain on America’s honor for abandoning the Kurds.”

“I feel very bad for the Americans and allies who have sacrificed to destroy the ISIS Caliphate because this decision virtually reassures the reemergence of ISIS. So sad. So dangerous,” Graham tweeted. “President Trump may be tired of fighting radical Islam. They are NOT tired of fighting us,” he added.

Nikki Haley, who served as Trump’s ambassador to the United Nations for almost two years, tweeted, “We must always have the backs of our allies, if we expect them to have our back. The Kurds were instrumental in our successful fight against ISIS in Syria.”

“Leaving them to die is a big mistake,” she added, before including a “#TurkeyIsNotOurFriend” hashtag.
Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., said in a Twitter post, “If reports about US retreat in #Syria are accurate, the Trump administration has made a grave mistake that will have implications far beyond Syria.”

“It would confirm #Iran’s view of this administration & embolden then to escalate hostile attacks which in turn could trigger much broader & more dangerous regional war,” he added.
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, another strong supporter of the president, tweeted that abandoning the Kurds was a “HUGE mistake.”

“They've never asked us to do THEIR fighting-just give them tools to defend themselves. They have been faithful allies. We CANNOT abandon them,” Huckabee wrote.

Hence why he is threatening them with economic consequences if they try to pull some shit. Kurds deserve better for their fight against ISIS. Turkey is absolute shit ally.

Don't make too much of it, this isn't the first military related foreign policy move that Graham, Haley and others have disagreed with Trump on publicly.

They stand their ground for the day on this to prove "they're totally not a sycophant", and then go back to supporting his every move the next day.

There is consistency. He's very consistent in his corruption. He's very consistent in his support for strong-man dictators.

You may need to go back and read what just happens. This is Trump giving Turkey the green light to steamroll the Kurds...

When has Trump destroyed anyone else's economy other than our own?
In fact, when has Trump ever carried out any Twitter threat?

If the Kurds deserve better, then why are we abandoning them?

Yeah, no, fuck off. Take your nonsense somewhere else that actually has a chance to believe you and Trump.

Yeah USA should instead do preemptive strike against fellow NATO member wasting lives of US soldiers instead of doing diplomatic solution like threatening them with economic sanctions in case they attack Kurds.

You seem to be ignoring what Trump is doing.

He's pulling out, so that they can commit those atrocities on the Kurds.

Also, by failing to alert our allies with troops in the region it potentially puts them, our NATO allies, at risk.

We did the same shit in Iraq in the 1990's, and a lot of people got killed.

I believe one of those groups was...Al Qaeda, too.

The US never seems to learn anything despite our multiple Middle East debacles.
