So the idea that people, without proper clearances, are sitting in on potentially classified briefings is a nothing sandwich? The fuck is wrong with you? Seriously, if any other president did this, especially a Dem one, you'd be screeching like a retarded howler monkey about how this is terrible, but because you just can't get enough of the orange phallus suddenly it's okay.

If you actually cared how the country was run this would piss you off no matter the president. You only show your true colors as a biased child thinking that your dad can beat up Superman. You're about as American as a drug dealer.

I forgot though you're one of those easily conned masses that Trump talked about, the ones that he said when he mentioned he "loved the poorly educated" and insulted your intelligence when he said if he shot he wouldn't lose any votes. So while Trump's budget for last year tried to cut the IRS's funding, naturally, this year it goes up. However, Senators and Representatives have questioned why, after such a major change in tax laws, the budget increased by such a small amount -- restricting the options Americans (especially tax professionals) have to seek help, as well as delaying refunds.

Then, this happened. And it all made sense.

Tax authorities subpoena lenders, investors in Kushner real estate projects

Bloomberg News reported that tax authorities have put together information on lenders and investors for some Kushner Cos. real estate projects in New York and New Jersey, with deals dating back to 2010.

Subpoenas have been issued over the past year by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Department of Justice (DOJ), a person familiar with the matter told Bloomberg.

According to Bloomberg, the tax inquiry started before special counsel Robert Mueller was appointed to lead the investigation into Russian election interference and possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Moscow.
In a statement, a lawyer representing Kushner Cos. denied it is under investigation for tax issues.

“Kushner Cos. is not under investigation for any tax issues. [EDITOR: Yeah the IRS loves to investigate things which aren't tax issues] It has had no contact with anyone at the IRS or Justice Department Tax Division," a lawyer representing the company, Charles J. Harder, said in a statement to Bloomberg.

"It has received no subpoenas or audit requests about its taxes. It is not in tax court on any audits. If there is an investigation about others’ taxes, it has nothing to do with Kushner Cos. or its businesses.”

When Kushner took the job in the White House, he stepped down from his family business.

According to Bloomberg, the tax inquiry does not seem to be related to other investigations. It is also not know whether the investigation is looking into associates of the Kushner business or the actual company.

Well, the FBI is involved, so this is a nonstandard case. Plus they're going after the people who lent him money, which should be highly concerning to Kushner, but the IRS does not tell you if they're investigating other people.

By the way, the most likely issue is the 666 5th Ave. building. Here's a recent article featuring it:

With that backup plan potentially compromised, Jared may find it equally difficult to remain in Washington should his ambitions not shake out as foreseen; according to multiple news outlets, he can’t even get the security clearance typically granted to people in his position, for reasons that are not entirely clear.

While not part of the Mueller investigation (hence, this thread not that one) it seems pretty likely to me that, if any of those investors turn out to be improper, that information will be passed along. Oh, and this is taking place in New York, and state crimes could easily be mixed in.

I work for a major bank. Last week we had our yearly anti-money laundering/red flags training. Everyone in the company has to do it, even if you work in IT and don't deal with money. Just with my basic knowledge (I only had to do the basic course, because once again I'm in IT and I don't deal with money), that throws up several red flags.

Mueller had to have seen right through this. He has money laundering experts on his team that probably know 100x what I do.

I was being silly.

I've had nothing but horror at how your illegitimate President and his staff tolerated violence against women, and have marveled at the sheer incompetence of your illegitimate President to clean up the series of messes he's made the last two weeks.

I mean seriously:

"Violence against women being bad" is the lowest of low hanging fruit. It's a slam dunk with nobody on the court. But your President is such a pathological, egotistical sociopath, he can't even get it right on the easiest of easy issues.

For the record, Bannon is completely correct. Muller will take down Trump legally, but #MeToo will be what destroys him (and Bannon said that in advance of this), because while Mueller deals with abstract concepts - rule of law... institutions... obstruction of justice - Trump's tolerance and past actions of violence against women is relatable to every American who has a sister, girlfriend, mother or spouse.
