Now remember after hours is very volatile and tends to be over exaggerated when you look at the RAW numbers.

a 4-5% move afterhours real value is about 2-3% but it all depends on WHAT is trading. Sometimes it can be close to accurate real market value as well.

    Look at some good news...kinda

Oil futures are down another 5%..Gas 4.7%
Cheap gas inc? if they can just stop having refineries blow up

There is actually news that isn't about the Coronavirus. Some of it is pretty interesting.

Trump fired the Pentagon's policy chief, because apparently he didn't agree with any policies involving the Pentagon. Apparently the official reason is "******* ain't loyal". Anyway this just official confirmation that the Department of Defense completely disagrees with basically all the foreign policy decisions that are being made, which are apparently created by random white house staffers, and then announced without any agreement from the Pentagon. Granted, under this administration, firing him wasn't particularly disastrous, because apparently nobody ever listened to him anyway.

House Republicans sent an angry letter to Trump about his proposed deal with the Taliban. Because they have no idea what "optics" means, the Letter was arranged by Liz Cheney, because apparently she doesn't want to see her father's legacy of eternal war foiled. Anyway, they do have some valid points, but they don't actually have any solutions to any of the problems they raise. One point that they do NOT address, that nobody seems to be talking about, is that the Tailban is not the only adversary group we are fighting in Afghanistan. Arguably they aren't even the most dangerous. ISIS has a very powerful and active branch in the country, called ISKP (Or ISIS-K, or ISIS-KP... the whole naming ISIS thing is stupid, they are Daesh). Anyway, Daesh is very powerful there, and have been busy fighting the Afghan government, coalition forces, and the Taliban all at the same time, and thriving while doing so. A plan that does not involve supporting the Afghans against Daesh risks giving the government over to the Taliban, only for them to promptly lose it to Daesh, and leaves the world with a reborn Caliphate. This is only one of the two elephants in the room. The other one is everyone's refusal to acknowlege the role of Pakistan in the conflict.

Wouldn't worry about the market should be back up once fear eases up but considering how botched Trump's handling is so far it may go down more until that happens.

Even Coca-Cola is now directly, specifically, publicly citing the coronavirus as a reason they won't do so well this year.

That said, they also made public their plans to protect their employees. Which I applaud. I mean, who'd send their empl--

If the coronavirus worsens, retailers warn, we will start to see shelves emptying as imports dry up while panicking consumers turn into doomsday preppers and buy everything up.

Can you imagine if the coronavirus had hit back in, say, October, which is early flu season, instead of late December? What kind of hit would the US economy have taken if this were happening in early/mid December instead of February?

'I can't even': Emails reveal EPA officials' reaction to Trump rant on toilets, showers

When the top EPA official overseeing its WaterSense program first heard President Donald Trump's rant about toilets that must be flushed a dozen times and modern faucets that only provide drips of water, she was at a loss for words.

"I can't even," Veronica Blette, the chief of WaterSense in the EPA's Office of Wastewater Management, emailed a handful of colleagues on Dec. 6, attaching a video of the president's remarks. Sending another tweet highlighting Trump's comments to coworkers, Blette wrote: "Sigh."

The emails were provided to NBC News in response to a Freedom of Information Act request. The emails showed part of the agency's response to what were eye-opening remarks from the president — ones he would revisit at future campaign rallies — in which he railed against the federal regulations governing toilets, showers, sinks and dishwashers.
Well like this EPA official many of us feel the same "I can't even".

So again as DocSavage tried to defend the idiot over coronavirus we once again see how stupid and moronic Trump is. Keep defending this moron.

Trump said it. I'm glad you're finally coming around to how ridiculous Trump actually is.

    https://time.com/5792015/trump-coronavirus-vacancies/

Time has a good article up discussing how the extensive vacancies and eliminated positions are leaving the Trump administration largely ill equipped to effectively handle the response to the coronavirus.

Almost like, as "libs" have been saying, a skeleton government of loyalists with little actual experience is fucking dangerous.

So, I guess the reports that Trump put Pence in "charge" of the coronavirus response might have more truth than not.

Because apparently he's got time to go down to a $25K a head fundraiser in Florida.

US health workers responding to coronavirus quarantine lacked training, protective gear

The Washington Post reports the whistleblower alleges she were unfairly reassigned after voicing their concerns to senior HHS officials, including those in the office of Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar. The whistleblower was allegedly told Feb. 19 that if they does not accept the new position in 15 days, by March 5, they would be terminated.

By spreading the epidemic the fuck...

The people most susceptible to this are their constituents you know them being old and such... you'd think they'd want them to not die.

It's a great thing that Trump banned transgender soldiers from the military to protect the terrified cisgendered soldiers who just can't...

A study funded by the Department of Defense found that two-thirds of all active duty personnel, including respondents from the Army, Navy, Airforce, and Marines, supported the idea of serving alongside transgender service members.

...oh, so soldiers apparently don't care if someone is trans or not, just as long as they can do their job. Whoa, what a wild notion.

As country, we deserve what ever happens to us, for building a system that can neither prevent nor stop a Trump, but more importantly, for breeding the average Trump supporter.
