It will be interesting to start seeing attack ads (like the one we've already seen) using Trump's own words against him. Certainly there is enough in that ammo crate to last the century. If the Democrats can get the money worked out, billions in this case, it might be interesting in November.
Speaking of which, as his approvals start to tank, and the economy goes into the shitter, I'm curious when he'll start "joking" about postponing the election.
That whooshing sound you just heard was the US rocketing past 7k dead while Trump holds another propaganda dissemination with zero substance and zero help for American citizens.

Leadership. Apparently.“The original test, the ones we inherited… were broken, they were obsolete, they were not good tests,” Trump said during Friday night’s news conference.
We’ve fact checked this claim before. It's impossible for Trump to have inherited a broken testing system for COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus. The novel coronavirus did not exist until late last year, when researchers believe it was transmitted from an animal to a human for the first time.
I don't need anyone around me to die from a car crash to know they are real. I don't need to watch some child in Africa starve to death to know it happens. I don't have to witness rape to know it's a horrible thing. I have a hard time believing properly developed humans need to be demonstrated to know it's real.
Not even just the Democrats:
Kristol-backed group releases ad showing GOP voters blasting Trump over coronavirus response
But when they are being told it's not real, that it's "overblown", and an assault on the Resident, and an attempt by the Deep State to undermine Cheeto's authority, then it becomes unreal - until it's brought home in a very visceral way.
Trump and the GOP were pushing this bullshit conspiracy narrative for a few weeks, at least ("it's their new hoax"), and the far right nut job media sites are still pushing those narratives.
Trump, where every question is nasty and every answer is perfect.

While this is hilarious and apt, the problem is a few people doesn't make a movement. And the WH really needs a movement. AHWINK.
Also: for those of you who weren't sure, Azar promises the US govt will take care of treatment for the uninsured.
Well. That's interesting. I'll point out that
a) that's a really good reason for people who are sick to jump off their coverage.
b) also, if you have one of those Trump-approved non-ACA plans, this is a really good time for them to kick you off.
c) hey, remember how the Democrats have been suggesting things like Medicare for All and the Republicans said no, no, too expensive, such socialism? Yeah...
d) but this is Breccia here, and we're going to talk numbers.
In a recent post, I looked around and found the cost of an insure person to be treated was about $35,000. Uninsured was double that, but, let's go with the smaller number.
2.4 million is the smallest estimate of severe cases.
That is $84 billion. Minimum.
And I know just where to find it.
https://twitter.com/ryanstruyk/statu...066540038?s=19TRUMP: "We have a stockpile. It's a federal stockpile. We can use that for states or we can use it for ourselves."
Who is ourselves?
His personal stock? Something his family can profit off?
Democrats are the best! I will never ever question a Democrat again. I LOVE the Democrats!
Trump lays the groundwork for voter suppression.
So we're back to voter fraud. Oh, goodie.Trump on Friday said he's confident the general election in November won't be delayed by the coronavirus, but he rejected the idea of having every state prepare to conduct mail-in voting.
The president, speaking at the daily White House briefing on the pandemic, made clear he does not support using vote-by-mail as a backstop in the event the outbreak keeps people from going to the polls.
“No, because I think a lot of people cheat with mail in voting," said Trump, who has levied baseless accusations about voter fraud that he claims kept him from winning the popular vote in 2016. "I think people should vote with ID, voter ID. I think voter ID is very important, and the reason they don’t want voter ID is because they intend to cheat."
“It shouldn’t be mail-in voting," he added. "It should be you go to a booth and you proudly display yourself. You don’t send it in the mail where people can pick up — all sorts of bad things can happen…by the time it gets in and is tabulated."
Trump's comments are unsubstantiated. If he has evidence, his election fraud commission would have OH WAIT.
November is a long time away, but, as we keep seeing, Republicans know they're outnumbered and voter suppression is kind of their thing. However, two things:
1) Old people are more likely to stay at home in general, far more so if they think they might die if they leave the house, and
2) Trump can't do anything about it, the states do. Trump can't block states from encouraging mailed votes, and
3) The fraud we know about with absentee ballots was caused by Republicans, so Trump can fuck right off.
