Dear Trump supporters: The Wall is dead. It's always been dead and you are all just too f@$king stupid to realize it. Once Democrats take official control of the House next month, it will be deader than disco. You are NEVER getting your wall.

Now stop being such moronic dumbasses and join the rest of us in the real world where anyone with a functioning brain cell knows the wall wouldn't do shit to stop illegal immigration, drug smuggling, or the like. Not so long as high tech stuff like 'ladders', 'ropes', and 'shovels' exist.

Nope, nope, a vet who lost 3 out of 4 limbs is raising money for it! If they can get all the rubes who want a wall to donate $80 to his gofundme, they'll get a wall. Of course . . . they'll have to donate that $80 multiple times a year for the rest of the wall's existence to pay to finish the wall, maintain the wall and man the wall . . .

But . . . it's done by a veteran who lost three of his four limbs in Iraq so you know this is super patriotic and legit, right?

The quotes from GOP Senators that didn't get the word ahead of time are hysterical.

Collins from ME: "Ugh, are you ruining my life?"

Fucking deplorable party above country doesn't even know what it's doing anymore.

Bob Cork had the best answer IMO.

Well, he was a military lawyer IIRC. But he made some fame as quite the hawk while in the Senate, alongside McCain and Lieberman. So regardless of his actual service, Trump's decision to pull out went against... well, not his life's work, maybe, but a good part of it.

On any other day, you'd thinkchanding Syria over to Iran and Russia; picking an AG who wrote OP EDs saying the Mueller investigation was a witch hunt, being found out, and calls for him to recuse himself being made; and being called an unelectable joke by Ann Coulter would be enough.

    Nope.

Had to personally shut down the government. Had to crash the stock market. This is an American movie: the car can't just skid off the road, it has to flip over and burst into flames.

Now now, remember to share with the class.

Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), who is retiring in early January, started laughing when he was told of Trump's decision.

"Well, why not?" he quipped, asked why he was laughing, adding that he was "not really" surprised by Trump's decision.

"On this? I don't know. Y'all have fun. I'm getting ready to fly to Chattanooga. ...[Leadership] has no guidance right now," Corker said, asked what happened next. "I think they're just sort of swirling around over there at the White House."

Asked if he thought the continuing resolution (CR) could still be signed, Corker added that it's impossible to predict what Trump will do.

"I don't know. ... Who knows. Does the person sitting behind him at the White House know? Who would know? Who would know," Corker said. "I love it, you can't make this stuff up."

That is a grossly unfair characterization of Trump, there has to be laws so that SNL will be held accountable for their lies!

If Trump keeps his mouth shut, it might go up.

Edit: That’s the thing, we do have a bull market to justify the rate hike. The problem is Trump’s twitter account.

So let's talk about the Farm Bill.

The reason this is being signed now, with full pomp and circumstance with a live TV audience and so on, and not June, is because the holdup was Food Stamp work requirements. This bill flew through the House and Senate because it had none. The Senate, for example, voted 87 to 13 in favor.

So why did Trump so happily sign a bill for farmers, that didn't have Food Stamp work requirements?

Well for one, he's desperate for a win. And this is something everyone wanted.

For two, he's losing the farmer vote because the retaliatory tariffs are kicking in. This bill included relief, also known as "forcing the American taxpayer to pay for American crops because nobody else will buy them". As I've posted before, you've already bought $45 worth of soybeans. Hope you like them.

But most importantly, Trump and his USDA are likely going to apply the work requirements directly. Yep, without Congress. With that matter resolved, there was no reason to keep them in the Farm Bill.

    "Can he do that?"

Well, yes, but with two major caveats. One, whoever replaces him in 2020 can undo that, and the Farm Bill stands. Two, states can still add full or partial waivers. Which 30 of them already do.

    "Blue or red states?"

It's a mix. Hard times hit everywhere and we all know red states are recipient states anyhow.

Plus, here's the big one: we all know most SNAP recipients already work. Requiring people who work, to work, does nothing.

But yes, laugh all you want at Nero playing a fiddle while Rome burns. It's a great metaphor. DOW lost 464 and the government's shut down while Russia and Iran get Syria under the tree.
