Are we still pushing this thread? Muller could come out tomorrow and show text messages between Putin and Trump talking about how to rig the ballots and it wouldn't matter since the investigation was corrupt from the start. It's over folks.

No kidding. Have people really forgotten Watergate after all this time? Nixon did the EXACT SAME THINGS. Tried to discredit the special prosecutor (Archibald Cox in his case). Then shuffled people around in the DOJ until he got Cox actually fired. We see how well that worked. If anything this is going to accelerate the endgame.
Too bad Archibald Cox isn't still alive today to see history repeating itself. I'm sure he'd have some tips for Mueller. (He died at the age of 92 back in 2004.) One thing I have to give to Nixon though...he might've done some dishonest/criminal things. But at least his cohorts were American. He wasn't working on behalf of a hostile foreign government.

Please remember Jeezy is desperate and is only baiting.
Just ignore his ramblings.
They've been ascending the staircase of partisan nihilism for at least a decade now, they will literally fiddle while America burns if it's in their short term political interests. Their actions for the last year or so clearly demonstrate that they are not thinking about anything, ANYTHING, other than the next five seconds. Consequences? What's that?
I mean last year they got behind a child molester. Should we really be surprised at anything the current GOP does anymore?

I'm sure in your mind that wouldn't matter ahahahaha.
You must really love America, look how you're willing to fuck it into the dirt and shit in its ear to please a narcissistic used car salesman, because there happens to be an elephant next to his name.

Well just don't want you Bernie kids to get too hyped up over something that will never happen now. I would put the chance at Trump getting impeached over the Muller investigation at about 0%. It was .000001% last week. Don't take it too bad, there is always that blue wave to pretend about next week.
WaPo brings up a valid point: every single shred of information in the Nunes memo refers to acts before Mueller was appointed. This highly pro-Trump opinion piece flat-out admits that, and in between denying the Russians attacked the election and accusations such as as "if they did this, what else did the pro-Clinton cell in the FBI do?", admits the information is inaccurate and incomplete, and "it is worth remembering that the Democrats’ dossier wasn’t determinative in launching the entire Russia probe". So even the hard-core-est supporters of Trump (read the piece, this guy clearly is) are forced to admit there's really not a lot of actual use to Team Trump.
The rest of WaPo's editorial board, well, let's just say they "slightly" disagree.

Are you still pushing that rhetoric? How exactly has it been corrupt? For that matter how'd that "bombshell" of yours go again? Oh yeah, it was more shell than bomb and I've seen babies leave bigger bombs in their wake.
Glad though that you said that if you saw definitive proof of Trump being Putin's little whore you wouldn't care. Guess you gotta stick with tribalism after all.

Well, just look at the current situation.
Outcome A: Trump successfully squishes the investigation and damages the integrity of the office, taking America's moral high ground with it. Heck, Trump already asked 'are we so much better?' - and if he is allowed to succeed, that is one step closer to justifying that comment.
Outcome B: Trump fails and all of this blows up. Trump's base will defend him to the end, possibly even if things turn violent. Trust in the US election system/democracy is eroded and it would take years to even remotely restore its reputation.
At this point, Putin likes either outcome. That's the benefit if you start already hated by the US. Since no one will want to go to war with Russia over this, things can only get better for him. He only really needs to stir the pot. As long as the outcome is extreme, it works out for him.
