Manafort/Page indictments had NOTHING to do with the Trump campaign. They had to do with money laundering on their own.

Does this carry any real legal weight? I mean, I think it's pretty obvious Russia isn't going to extradite them to the US. Does this just have the effect of banning these folks from the US?

I'm not real sure what indicting foreign citizens does in reality.

Forces Trump in another spot of follow protocol or add another charge. If these people are indicted and an extradition request required to try them, Russia doesn't have to give them up but the request has to be made. A refusal to make the request means another obstruction charge added to the pile.

1) Russia attempted to influence the election by using propaganda - plausible and probable, they have been doing so for years and will continue to do so.

Separately, it seems like Mueller secured a guilty plea for identity fraud from Richard Pinedo a few weeks back and we're just learning about it now. Doesn't seem like anyone quite knows what to make of this yet though the thinking is that it's related to money laundering charges, and that he's working with Mueller now.

He was very specific in referring to "this indictment" in matters related to impacts of the outcome of the election and whether or not any Americans knowingly and willingly were involved. He repeatedly stressed that point throughout his comments and responses.

That's very specific language that is not accidental.
