Is this still a thing, complaining on forums about something that has been the case since WotLK?

Did my first Antorus Normal clear this week, just got up on wednesday morning and signed up for every pug there was. In the end I got invited to a group, I had 941 ilvl and had only done 3 bosses on normal earlier, and the LFR wings. Never touched HC.
Didn't screw up on any fights, keep a good stable dps (top 5) and wasn't a dick so I kept my spot the whole run while others who continued to fail simple mechanics and did like 600k dps got booted.
So yeah, instead of rushing to a forum to complain, you can just keep on signing up and eventually you'll find a spot. I'm recommending morning of the reset day though, as that is when most raiders just rush through it doing a quick clear, and they seem to just invite everyone with a decent ilvl, and kick people who underperform their role.
Or you can just create your own group, invite whomever you want and see how far you get? It is THAT easy.

Not the norm eh? It gets worse every week!
Apparently in Germany. I don't know why people even look for that manually. There are great addons for that and you don't even have to check if you were declined or there was no space in the group or whatever. They will find a group for you in ca. 5 seconds. This raised "issue" is a real non-issue though.
I know reading can be really hard sometimes, but allow me to help you out.
First take a look at the title of this thread, I know it might be a bit long, there are quite many words there! But look at the 5th word, it starts on n- and ends with ormal, which makes up the word normal!
So after understanding the fact that this whole thread was aimed towards the original poster having problems with normal raids demanding 945 and curve, you might conclude that there actually are people who cares about normal.
So now, fuck off.
*aw someone got hurt and reported me? the mods on this site is literally trash.
Well, what do you want to proof with that? Declined by both, because they are full and it's a auto-decline. One pending, because there are dozens of other applicants, which got invited through the automatic system before you. Would've helped more when you put the curser on the group.
Yeah guy posting that piocture does not understand how this works. There are literally zero groups for world bosses which are not auto-accept.
The problem isn't that AOTC is required for Normal or Higher iLVL for Normal or Heroic or Keys.
The problem is more that achievements like AOTC can be bought or carried, iLVL isn't a 100% show of skill - (example my Fury Warrior's 910 Conv/910 Arcano Combo is only beaten if i use the Conv with a 965 or higher Seeping Scourgewing or 970 Khaz). Theres no 100% way to prove how good someone is at the game and if they can steam roll a raid so people ask for a semi reasonable achievement or show of items. Otherwise people would be escalating to "Normal ATB Link Cutting Edge" which is even more ridiculous.
*TLDR* - Get better ilvl scrub
Nah, it's more like 950+ now.
seems trying to make a normal pug with 940 as the lvl requirement doesn't work anymore, been trying for at least 45 mins wiht not a single application to the grp
This is absolutely normal and happens every single tier (example 1 2 3 4).
Is it an overkill requirement? Absolutely. That said, I don't think it's that hard to understand why a PuG leader might have overkill requirements if he wants a super fast, speedy run. Random players are always a gamble and if you only have two hours to kill and just want it to be quick and painless, why not be super picky when you have infinite bodies to choose from?
It's also not a universal requirement, though. I've never had an issue getting normal PuGs on alts even before I had AotC (I don't yet for Antorus, for example, and have still done multiple normal PuGs). There are a lot of groups out there. Just because you see many looking for AotC doesn't mean it's impossible to PuG without it. You have to be willing to put up with people who are learning the fight and in the same situation as you, which means those groups might be slower and more painful but you can't fairly expect special lower requirements for yourself while the rest of the group is a higher standard.
Some PuGs are appropriate for mains just looking to get that AP or that last gear piece, some are for alts who are gearing up or new players learning the fight. You just need to find the right one for you and be patient until you do. Those groups do exist; I have often led them myself in fact.
Players want to play with equally geared other players instead having some low geared alt #8 in raid that will roll on any TF proc that get shared. Also higher ilvl groups usually have less players who roll on any ring/neck just because it's +5 ilvl upgrade.
Found a one hour normal clear on my 925 rogue, just have to look harder i guess.
Even when they are not full - people that got in queue first get the invite. If one of these declines, another one in the queue gets the invite. At 15/40 the first 25 get an invite - in worldboss groups it can happen really quick that 15-30 people Sign Up at almost the same moment. Every character (even my 905ish ones) are invited instantly, I've never seen a group that picks people (and yes, I play on EU)
