it's not hard, it's just American culture teaches you that hard work doesn't pay off. Easy shortcuts do.
By that logic, nothing in this life is hard. I mean, "just do it", right?

    Exercise
    Eat Healthy
    Eat less
    Drink less

However no body can be bothered with putting in the effort.
    Myself included.
    In theory, nothing is hard.

The key is to see if everyone is doing it and failing, this might suggest that the theory isn't entierly correct.

Walking takes an hour to get to work - not gonna happen with a full work day already there.
"bullshit" eating is a lot cheaper and takes a lot less time.
Drinking is what people use to get away from their problems.

All the things you listed are quite hard to do.

No and that was the motivation I needed to start going to the gym and made me actually start caring about what I ate. When I was fat there was no chance I'd ever do that.

Meanwhile we can drink a lot of green tea which supposedly boosts metabolism and confirmedly is full of polyphenols.

"Boost metabolism" is one of the many, MANY combination of words that really don't mean a whole lot. If you sit down and then stand up you will instantly have boosted your metabolism. Polyphenols are antioxidants, another couple of words that are used in pointless ways by the university of the internet. Lastly, green tea is the most hyped food item on the planet.

These are simply modern day versions of believing in magic. Thinking that you can lose weight by drinking green tea is no different from thinking that you can kill your neighbors wife by nailing a piece of pork to an oak and walk backwards across a cemetery. Thinking that you can get huge results for a minimal effort despite overwhelming evidence that this is not the case.

What a bunch of superficial apathetic judgmental navel-gazing people here. You don't have weight issue, fine for you, can you stop judging everyone. Not everyone that is fat are binging on McDo, Coke and candy.

At this point, we might just stop making any kind of medicine.
It's easy to not get cancer, just don't smoke and use solar cream.
It's easy to not get sick, just eat vitamine and don't get cough in the face.
It's easy to not get an STD, just have safe sex.
We don't need allergy medicine, just don't go near what you are allergic...
Depression medicine, stop having bad thought and small, it's easy.

I made absolutely zero claims about green tea being some kind of magical panacea or effortless way to become slim, so don't shove words in my mouth - that's supremely intellectually dishonest and points towards a will to argue for the sake of it; my post was a mere suggestion, yours is needlessly polemical. I also made no claims of being an expert whatsoever, and I'm sorry if my very mundane choice of words sounded inappropriate.
Lastly it'd be nice of you to bring some sources when refuting something, especially when it seems accepted that there are indeed benefits from drinking green tea; it takes no scientist to understand the excerpts of articles such as these:

Maybe some people gain weight easier than others due to genes, but no one gets to obese levels of fat without stuffing their face with unhealthy food, and lots of it.

Sure, if you eat it in elephant portions anything can make you obese.

I feel sorry for all the people who claim its hard to lose weight, if you can't even bring up the tiny amount of dedication required to make such a small change to your life how are you ever going to make something of yourself? There is no shame in being fat and happy, it's your life and if that's the case just own it but don't come here claiming all kinds of nonsense over how much of a struggle losing some weight is.

Millions of people have done it successfully, among them geniuses and idiots alike.

Some people don't create enough testosterone or other hormones while exercising to combat muscle fatigue and other pains felt from exercise. That's a huge factor in willingness to exercise. Whether you feel amazing or feel like shit afterwards. And yes, everyone feels pain after exercise. But there are the people who are like "Ahhh every muscle in my body hurts but I feel AMAZEBALLS" and the people who are like "Every muscle in my body hurts just leave me here to die."

I'm one of the former, but I recognize and acknowledge the latter.

45 minutes in the gym 3 times a week lifting free weights is all it takes. Hell you could even squeeze 2 of those in on Saturday and Sunday.

If there were a drug that kept everyone healthy without suppressing appetite, I wonder what kind of consequences that would have on consumption. I could see food shortages becoming a real issue.

Here's a magic cure for obesity:

    1. Look up what your healthy weight should be
    2. Calculate how many calories you need a day to maintain that weight
    3. Plan your day so that you eat that amount of calories with +-100 error margin
    4. After a couple of months, you are no longer obese

    Hard mode!!!

Spend 45 minutes 3 times a week working out. Now you're not just healthy, you are fit.

Unfortunately most people "don't have the time" to work out for 135 minutes a week but can watch 200 minutes of Netflix in a day.
