He was a good owner, oversaw every Saints playoff win, kept the team from relocating. I'm nervous about how things will go now, the succession of ownership has been hotly contested the past decade.

I know the big deal with Cousin's contract is the guaranteed money, but if Garoppolo in on the roster for all the games in the next 3 seasons for the 49ers, there is good chance he will make slightly more (86.4 million) than Cousins (84 million). Assuming no super bowl related bonuses for Cousins. Either way, pretty similar money except for the guarantees.

It's still pretty close, and Jimmy definitely got a great deal done based on his record, but Cousins definitely beats him out.

Sheldon Richardson is planning to visit the Vikings. Apparently he's asking for $11-15M, which I don't believe Seattle can or is willing to pay for him considering that they plan on keeping Thomas if possible along with the draft of course. Mind you, a franchise tag would have been $14M. Minnesota still has roughly $25M in cap space even with the Cousins signing. It's going to be a shame if Seattle essentially traded Kearse and a second round pick for someone who stayed for a year when we didn't even make the playoffs last season.
