It seems that some post that get infracted are not showing up as infracted. I have only noticed on the ones that are not edited with a reason. I worry about this because I don't want to waste time reporting a post that has already been dealt with. I don't think it's a cache problem because I have cleared it and still don't see the red flag, sometimes it will show up hours later or sometimes never at all.

Maybe we should get an error message saying it's already been taken care of if it has already been infracted when we try to report it?

I thought it was just me but I see a couple of post down from this that a guy had a similar issue.

Not all mods actually “edit” the posts when they issue an infraction. They issue “stealth” infractions for whatever reasons. They could be busy, not have enough time... any number of things. There will be a little red card at the bottom right corner of the post in question if it has in fact been infracted.

A few examples are below. I am using my own infractions so not to embarrass anyone.

Yeah I know this, I am saying the little red flag doesn't always show up for me even though it had been infracted already.

How do you know it's been infracted if the red flag doesn't show up and it hasn't been edited by a mod?

The person gets banned without any of his posts flagged as having been infracted.

I feel some people get a free off-time when they get too much into it. Like the regular suspects

Other users told him it had, so it's not just me. Sometimes it will show up hours later that it was, but some, never.

I don't think it happens at all tbh. I guess it's a cache thing on your end, tried different browsers and ctrl+f5?

You can't see the infraction red flags if you're banned. Otherwise, you should always be able to see them, and should be using those to see if people have been infracted rather than mod edits.

If you can provide screenshots (privately to mods) of specific posts that have been infracted but aren't showing the red card, then please feel free to do so. We haven't had any other complaints or issues, so this may just be a cache or browser issue for you or you're mistaken about whether that post is actually infracted or not.

That isn't going to be 100% reliable, as some infractions are not issued on the posts themselves (sig/avatar infractions, transferred points, points for abusive PMs, etc).
