Right now, the only elves excluded from the discussions are night elves and nightborne and their mutated offshoots like naga and satyr, but I don't these races should be counted among elven groups, since they were changed fundamentally.

What I like lately is that people here are posting their take on high elves, inspiring others on their appearances. I'm myself quite a T-mog hunter, so I'm always into some t-mog sharing

Here's one of the T-mogs I made recently, in honor of thalassian ancestry of my character. I only wish I could make that green glow on shoulders disappear, or recolour it to blue or gold one.

Really makes me wish the blue version that Yvera Dawnwing wears was available -hopefully we will see it as a trial of style reward someday-

I went for something classic with a new char; I really love the HE leather set, and while this character is supposed to have white hair, I really dig the concept of him wearing a cowl

Just a classic SC look that we can have on leather and cloth wearers!

Also made this mog inspired by that old HE artwork

Could have gotten the colors closer with the antorus version, but it's more of an inspiration rather than a replication if that makes sense

Also I gotta get Sundancer when SL drops; that unicorn is literally the Quel'dorei Steed but High Res

I believe it's pvp set exclusive for mages. I found out that many cool sets with thalassian themes are actually for mages or hunters, so I have to find other looks as a priest. On the other hand, Black Temple/Tomb of Sargeras sets are also good for thalassian priests.

That is classic. Hooded version looks good too. Cloth version is mostly world drop, so I'm scanning AH every day now to collect pieces I miss

I made an 7th Legion set I use when I did PvP in BfA, and when I went to Battle of Dazar'Alor raid. (Yes, I make themed transmogs for the content I do. Right now, I'm trying to make covenant themed transmogs for SL questing ). That set looked good even with void appearance, but now, with natural skin, it is even more awesome.

I would only change a sword to match colors you have, but since you get that Antorus version, it will be great.

As a mount collectors, I have my eyes on this. I think some of the horses we got in BfA could do a good service too. Goldmane and Storm's Wake horse have both fitting colours. Unicorns are still better though.

Not sure which bow fits best, Thori'dal or Thas'dorah....
I feel like I prefer Thoril'dal a bit more, but Thas'dorah's quiver is so good :/

I find the blue "Phoenix's Rebirth" version of Thas'dorah to be the best look of this bow.

Each race would have base variant and as you play, you unlock other customizations for your character, as well as more heritage armors, different racials, etc. My thought on this:

    Alliance

    Humans
    - model variants: regular humans, bulky humans (kul tiran model), thin human - the idea is that all human shapes are open and are not tied to certain human nation. In that way, you can be bulky stormwindian, thin gilnean or regular kul tiran.
    - heritage armors: stormwind, lordaeron, dalaran, kul tiras, gilneas, dalaran, stromgarde - the idea is that as a human, you can display your origin by various heritage armor. You as a player decide from which kingdom do your character come from. I exclude Alterac for obvious reasons.

    Dwarves
    - model variants: all dwarf races use the same base model. They are differenciated by various skins and customization features
    - variations: Regular Dwarf (Bronzebeards, Wildhammer) with regular skins, hairstyles and Elemental Dwarf (Dark Iron, Frostborne, Eathern) - based on current Dark Irons (more skin colors which changes the glow of the beards - black skins + fiery beards, blue skins + frosty beards, etc.)
    - heritage armors: Bronzbeard, Wildhammer, Dark Iron, Frostborne, Earthern

    Gnomes
    - all gnome models use same base model, you differentiate your character by a number of mechanical parts or degree of radiation you've been exposed to.
    - Heritages: Gnomeregan, Mechagon, Junker Gnome, Leper Gnome

    Night elves
    - Model variants: regular kaldorei, highborne (the nightborne pose)
    - Heritages: Long Vigil Kaldorei, Highborne Kaldorei

    Draenei
    - Model variants: regular draenei, broken draenei
    - skin variants: regular draenei, lightforged draenei, eredar
    - heritages: pure draenei, ancient glorious eredar, lightforged, broken draenei, fel corrupted eredar

    Worgen
    - Model variants for wogen form: upright and hunched
    - Model variants for human form: humans - bulky, regular or thin, night elves
    - heritages: Kaldorei, Gilnean, probably Lordaeron as well - the idea is that worgen are either former elf druids or cursed humans. Majority of human worgen are gilneans, but I guess some lordaeronian may be infected as well.

    Void elves

    - Model variants: regular elf, wretched
    - skin variations: Void-touched, High elf
    - heritages: High Elf, Ren'dorei

    Horde

    Orcs
    - model variants: Use upright and hunched models.
    - Skin variants: Fel corrupted, mag'har
    - Heritages: Frostwolf, Blackrock, Shadowmoon, Bleeding Hollow, Laughing Skull, Warsong, Thunderlord

    Trolls
    - Model variants: slender (current darkspear) and berserker (current zandalari) - in this way, you can either be slender zandalari or muscular darkspear berserker
    - Heritages: Darkspear, Zandalari, Sandfury, Revantusk, Drakkari

    Tauren
    - base models same for all tauren, differentiated by their faces/horn styles
    - skin variants: regular tauren, Taunka, highmountain
    - heritages: Bloodhoof, Grimtotem, Taunka, Highmountain

    Goblin
    - model variants: regular goblin, fat goblin
    - skin variants: regular goblin, gilgoblin
    - heritages: Bilgewater, Steamwheedle, Unshackled

    Forsaken
    - model variants: upright, hunched
    - skin variants: various form of decays
    - heritages: Forsaken, Lordaeron, Dalaran, Stromgarde, Alterac

    Blood elf
    - Model variants: regular elf, wretched
    - Skin variants: regular pure elf, fel-scarred elf, lightforged elf, san'layn
    - Heritages: Silvermoon, High elf, Fel Elf, Sunwell, Darkfallen

    Nightborne
    - model variants: regular nightborne, feral nightborne (use regular night elf pose)
    - skin variants: Nightborne, Nightfallen (different faces)
    - heritages: Nighthold (current heritage), Nightfallen, Duskwatch

I really enjoy the base concept of your idea, it could add alot of more content and patch updates that would be not that hard for blizzard to implement and the variation would make sence in the future!

Sadly it isn't; that PvP set has this color.

This specific High Elf recolor we first saw on Grand Magus Telestra has never been obtainable, there are so many unused textures of recolors in game, and I do hope we keep seeing them as Trial of Style rewards, or whatever equivalent we get of island expeditions -who finally gave us the blue firelands plate armor!)

That is classic. Hooded version looks good too. Cloth version is mostly world drop, so I'm scanning AH every day now to collect pieces I miss
Surprised at how well the 7th Legion belt fits -one problem with this set is the lack of belt hehe-

Cloth set is actually very linked to the consortium rep, and it's indeed a grind to get! with the boots being the most RNG-iest -lots of ethereum prisons to open overal- I did get luck and it dropped on my fifth prison ayy.

Yess, this one is pretty neat. Want to use to gloves on more sets!

I would only change a sword to match colors you have, but since you get that Antorus version, it will be great.
Yah, I wanted to go with a sword closer to the artwork on one hand, but the allure of a purple ethereal sword as an arcane mage was just too much to pass over XD!

Indeed, most my High Elves use BfA horses.

But this unicorn, he's the goal for me now! It's seriously uncanny how it looks to the queldorei steed in terms of color

It really feels like an up-ressed version of it hehe!

I just love how Thas'dorah fits this armor so perfectly; hard to see it as anything but a high elf recolor! Feels made for us in the alliance.

Only problem I have with that set is those boots look too chunky on a female model, so I tend to use these https://www.wowhead.com/item=80724/jade-witch-sabatons

I honestly find it hard to imagine that someone would go through the effort of making all of these just for the sake of High Elves.

Evenmoreso when the options ARE already in game and it's just about the design of the character creation UI to make it feel richer.

Totally free not to like the idea of such detail, but I see no reason to dismiss someone a "die hard high elf fan" because one in the many mockups she made to illustrate someone else's concept contains High Elves. Feel free to check out the EU Forum if you do not believe me.

But hey, I guess when one hates/is scared by High Elf lovers, they see High Elf lovers everywhere. :-)

Anyhow, my mistake for showing an image I thought might be relevant to this thread. Guess I won't do it ever again.
You know what this is a very cool and amazing idea, this has to be implemented, since it gives some Lore reason and tells people about the differences in the custumazations about the races, would be incredible to have this.

it would give so much more Depth and a fresh and nice look to the charcter creation screen.

Well done my friend, wel done ^^

as expected, it has to be Silver Covenant; but does anyone have one with Darkshore Armor? I think it'd look cool
The Alliance gets the Horde's most popular race. The Horde should get the Alliance's most popular race in return. Alteraci Humans for the Horde!

I make Warcraft 3 Reforged HD custom models and I'm also an HD model reviewer.

I have only cloth versions in several tints. It looks quite good on females (my char is male), but it's still quite distinctive kaldorei look for my taste.

The non-elite version is still quite nice and once SL launches it will be available for purchase with marks of honor as an ensemble!

(This is a pic from beta - the ensembles are not available on live yet)

EDIT: Also here's the other armor type darkshore ensembles!

Mail version actually works well even for high elf ranger fantasy. Cloth and plate armors are quite night elvish with moon symbols, but some pieces may definitely be of use for high elves. I think of the plate armor actually being decent for elven swordsman transmog, with different helm and belt.

Oh yeah they do look pretty cool -and I might use them hehe- I was just bemoaning never getting the elite mail set which has feathery pauldrons, gloves and boots

-Also I really like that all the PvP colors match, with great results-

Indeed, the plate one has some pretty interesting pieces I might use in other sets!

Also, I noticed some of the leveling/dungeon sets of Shadowlands have some pretty cool silver/black tints; could make for an interesting Silver Covenant aesthetic!

Castle Nathria Heroic Cloth fits perfect with the Alliance Warfront stuff. Will be nice for High Elves.
