only 6 hours difference in the 2 kills... such a close call in the end.

There's skill in having better execution than whoever came up with the plan, the same way there's skill in coming up with the plan in the first place. On their own, neither of those things dictate who's the best and who isn't.
Not very relevant if they don't care so much about money and exposure. A race is a race.
By whatever means(without breaking rules that get you banned), if you win youre the best. The only unfair fight is the one you lose. Winning doesnt just consist of being the best at something, its being the best at using all the possible tools given to you.
Ion is right about one thing. Six hours is the smallest time difference between World #1 and World #2 in a tier that's even recorded on Wowprogress.
Winnable for sure, but it will give you a colossal disadvantage. Even with no voice comms, we've already seen Limit use Method's streamed strategy to get Mythrax before them, and but for 600k they would've won the entire race against a Method that has clearly been better than them, even with a missing healer. All the money in the world isn't going to mean squat if you lose, if you're in any way a competitive person.
There's a spot literally right next to method's add spawning spot that spawned them in a more clumped pack
edit - Also to be clear, that was the only boss that watching their stream helped from a strategy perspective, the stream was actually mainly useful just to see where method's progress was at rather than seeing how they were progressing and also their stream was how we learned that Fetid's add hp got nerfed 10%.

Indeed, it does put you at a disadvantage. Ultimately its their choice, but many players in the cutting edge have streaming careers. It'd be one thing if Sco averaged 2k viewers, but what we saw this week was insane and enough to turn everybodys heads. In a sense, it should be a motivator. Do better/win the race, get more celebration subs and donations. It requires a perspective shift, but it's nice that there's something more tangible now for winning finally.

Good point, though I'm not convinced just having more eyes on you is anywhere close to being as good of a potential motivator as, you know, winning. It certainly lacks the memorability for the people competing (great as it may be for the viewers). That one depends on everyone's personal views though.
I think the main barrier honestly is having people willing to run the stream and paying commentators to eliminate what would be dead air. The Red Bull thing made it work for Method
There's a growing number of talented WoW commentators out there at least that can make this entertaining
So even while streaming Method won, eh?
Theres just no guild that even comes close at this point.
Gratz, Method. Well done.
They also beat beat limit while waiting a heal. Limit is not close at all.
What's with this 6 hours shit? NA automatically gets a 16h headstart. This mixed with being a shorter raid makes a 16h headstart quite significant.
Method shines on longer tiers (10+ bosses).
To be fair, it was six hours after Method... after Limit confusingly torpedo'd themselves. If they'd just recleared they would've had a world first on Tuesday.
