I seem to remember that this tribe became utterly intolerant of any approach after that region had a really bad storm some years ago. I think I read that they were less hostile before, and that after the storms when someone went to check on them they attacked. Presumably they thought the storm was anger from the gods or something and that it was all the fault of the outsiders.

Don't quote me on this though, I might have dreamt it all.

in power armor, you could pick up and throw the warriors that try to attack you. stomp the ground hard enough to shake a small area around you a bit. jet pack could make you fly.

I think we've done that to primitive societies quite enough in human history, thank you. It's the whole reason the island is protected in the first place.

Though I wouldn't be against trying to drop down educational material. Textbooks on other languages, hygiene, anything that could help nudge them in the direction of civilization to where they might build a boat and stop by to contact us. That just seems a lot nicer.
