    Look at this positively.

Kind of like how he admitted Americans pay for tariffs in the trade war and not Chinese by delaying new ones to "not impact the holiday season" with price hicks. This is him admitting global warming is real and when we have to start abandoning areas that are to hot the ice in Greenland will be melted and people can go there.

    Humble beginnings.

    /s (I think)

"What do you guys think about that?" Trump asked the room, the person told the paper. "Do you think it would work?"
Seems like just bouncing an idea off of advisors, not an actual plan or proposal. Am I missing something?

Well, if one believes in the global warming reaching the point of the polar caps melting away, might be a great investment for the future. Who knows, it may one day be a lush huge temperate island. With half the population of the US transferred to it. Also, the resource potential of it might make it very worth well to buy now.

Buying it....well that sounds like the foreign policy of the 19th century to try and keep China and Russia out of there. It just sounds fucking mad.
If Greenland melts, we are all fucked.

Denmark would disapear if Greenland lost all its ice, and you think they would sell it for that reason?
Are you one of Trump's sons?

Trump and a good chunk of his supporters don't believe in science, reality, facts just whatever he tells them. The EPA has been turned into the environmental pollution agency under his administration.

We are also headed for a trillion deficit. Buying anything should be off the table... Why is it that regular people that spend what they don’t have are dumb and deserve ridicule, while a billionaire spending tax payer money with a near trillion deficit is cool beans?

But why would we need to buy it? Couldnt we just like. . . . call up iceland and ask them to store some Nuclear subs there or something? Wouldnt that be much cheaper?

Trump is a fucking retard. Im starting to think Tom Green was on to something.

He asked the White House staff to look into it. White House staff resources have been spent, at direction of Trump, to research buying Greenland. Can you think of anything else that these resources could be better spent, with a trillion dollar deficit looming?

Edit: When I heard it yesterday, I thought this was about some stupid tweet. But, he actually had White House resources look into the possibility.

Is he though? If your history shows that you can get away with anything, with people excusing these horrible ideas, to the point where you aren’t bashful in saying you could shoot someone and not lose support. Would doing stupid shit like this be a reflection of limited mental capacity or conditioning? A spoiled brat isn’t inherently mentally deficient, it’s usually the conditioning of their environment. This is the result of Trump getting away with everything and continue to push the envelope, until his hand gets smacked. Something that isn’t going to happen, when he can turn to his bubble of Fox News and his supporters defending everything.

Only 20% of our yearly budget? Seriously, its an even more amazing deal when you put it like that.

The deficit is not a yearly budget... it’s how much money is added to our debt every year. Your suggestion is to increase the deficit by 20% and have a new territory to support.

actually.. its still a part (autonomous almost fully, apart from government and defense) of Denmark. And the Greenlanders basically already said: ''no''.

Denmark does need Greenland.... *blubblubblub* ... So....... lets merge the dutch and the danes together in Greenland. Language will be dutch-danish!

Why would they say yes? They can see what’s happening in Puerto Rico...
