Done ? no clue what you mean, and what considering the cinematic ?
It was never a thing in the first place. Shipping is not canon. We already know that Anduin's not interested in Wrathion, because he's got his eyes on female draenei and dwarves.
Which is weird, because female dwarves are fucking ugly, but to each their own.
The Void. A force of infinite hunger. Its whispers have broken the will of dragons... and lured even the titans' own children into madness. Sages and scholars fear the Void. But we understand a truth they do not. That the Void is a power to be harnessed... to be bent by a will strong enough to command it. The Void has shaped us... changed us. But you will become its master. Wield the shadows as a weapon to save our world... and defend the Alliance!
wait there is female dwarves? I thought there was 2 males for dwarves, like 2 female options for blood elves.
No, now the weirdos who pushed that crap will revamp their fiction to include BDSM due to the punch.
Why no, people don't just like Sylvie for T&A: https://www.mmo-champion.com/threads...ery-Cinematic/
It's the same mentality that Sam and Frodo are gay just because they love one another. Some people can't believe two people of the same gender can't have a platonic relationship and be willing to die for one another in the name of friendship. It all has to be sexualized.
I mean, not that Anduin and Wrathion were even ever as close friends as Sam and Frodo for example, or a better example would have been Varian and Bolvar. Especially now. Maybe they'll become friends again, but it'll take some mending and forgiving from both sides.
I don't know about "queerbaiting," but I never read anything from Wrathion and Anduin aside from a pretty wary and ultimately one-sided friendship. They never appeared to have any kind of sexual fission or even brief romantic moments - usually they were kind of adversarial and at odds with one another, although Anduin seemed to be trying his best to understand and empathize with Wrathion who did not make such things easy by being both shifty and casually arrogant.
If anything killed the "dream," as it were, it would be Wrathion's betrayal of Anduin and Azeroth in "War Crimes" and the subsequent fallout from his errors in judgment. Anduin's punch to Wrathion's smarmy face in 8.3 is pretty much the tombstone on the corpse of whatever friendship they might've had (platonic or romantic).
"We're more of the love, blood, and rhetoric school. Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see." ― Tom Stoppard, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead
“When I am a little older,” Wrathion announced, “I shall, if asked politely, take you on my back and ferry you to fascinating places, where we will have adventures that will age your father ten years in one night.”
“You have no idea how wonderful that sounds,” Anduin said morosely.

I might be a bit of a fujoshit myself but you people need to stop shipping, its weird.
They could just be really close friends and have a 'Bromance' . After all, I did have a female friend who I really liked in school and I'm Straight.
And yeah, I will agree that shipping them is pretty weird
I don't play WoW anymore smh.
I read that as a powerful being capable of flight offering an over-protected young boy all the adventure they could ever ask for. I suppose you could read it in a sexual light, if that were your fancy, but given the context of the characters I don't think it's meant to be sexual. Anduin wanted to be out of the shadow of his overbearing father, and Wrathion was kindly offering a means to achieve that.

I come from a time and a place where I judge people by the content of their character; I don't give a damn if you are tall or short; gay or straight; Jew or Gentile; White, Black, Brown or Green; Conservative or Liberal. -- Note to mods: if you are going to infract me have the decency to post the reason, and expect to hold everyone else to the same standard.
"all gentle boys are automatically gay"
this stereotype why them ships
Personally speaking, I would be fine if Wrathion and Anduin were positioned to be come a romantic couple - given their shared histories and personalities it would make sense. That being said, I don't think it was ever really painted that way, and doing so requires making a few too many inferences and stretches of credulity in my estimation. Most of their interaction in MoP and "War Crimes" is really them to getting to know one another as people. They didn't really know one another long enough or well enough to form a strong platonic friendship, much less a romantic one.
