    A rogue that sings and plays a lute is not a bard, but nice try. A for effort.

    Bards are basically musical rogues lol. You didn’t know that though. Nice try. A for effort.

    Musician =/= Bard Adventurers

    No one who says there are no bards in lore are literally saying the profession of musician doesn't exist in the Warcraft universe. Just that it doesn't exist in the same capacity it does in say dnd or dragon age.

    But there are lute playing NPCs in some inns, and magic is a thing. So if you can channel magic through swords, staves and wands, why not through an instrument as well?
    This wasn't a serious post to begin with but on a more serious note, Bards really could make sense if the dev's wanted them to. I've said it many times and I'll say it again: Sound is an element so why can't there be Sound-spec Shamans that are effectively Bards. Also, Naga Sirens and their songs. It's not an entirely baseless concept

    Better than "Tinkers", AKA, professional Engineers.

    This. Bard class skins for everyone!

    I would love bards so much, but I wholeheartedly agree. I tell people it’s more likely to be added as some 4th spec support role. One of the main reasons I don’t know if something like Bard would ever be added, though, is they are quite supportive and less anything else, and a WoW doesn’t really have that “support” role. You’re either tank, heals, or DPS.

    I don't the lore argument matters too much- in the lore Monks were a couple of Pandas who drank booze and whacked people with sticks, until Mists expanded them with three different specs and an entire history and mythology behind them. Blizzard can always expand the lore however they please.

    The problem for bards, or any new class really, is gameplay and design space.

    They would also need a major lore character. Monks at least could use Chen Stormstout. Tinkers have Gazlowe or Mekkatorque. As of now there is no equivalent Bard character in Warcraft.

    I wouldn't say Chen was a major character either before, during or after Mists. He's maybe at most a major character for the class. One can always be invented if need be.

    Not that I think Bards will ever come. Even with what I said, the lore to include them would have to be extensively written, and gameplay wise WoW just doesn't have the space for a support class at all, and if a bard or analogue isn't a support class, I wonder what the point of them would be.

    it doesnt have to be called bard or use musical instruments,i just want a true support class/spec,maybe a disc rework,or heck even a 4th pally spec,druid has 4 specs,its not crazy to imagine them adding another

    A musician that casts spells using an instrument is no less efficient than a mage who casts spells with his hands or a staff in a world of fantasy.
