Please revive all expansions content

Private servers won't die out. WoW private server community is actually quite robust and there are a lot of talented developers out there working on them. Not to mention, there are still people who don't want to pay for the game.

But it would help out by taking attention off the Blizz-like past expansion servers, alot of BC and Wrath, since a lot of those people might be willing to pay for the official version.

Does wow classic qualify as old shit?

No, in the sense that legacy content in retail wow qualifies, it does not.

Classic is a re-release of an old game, but the content of classic is "current content" in that game. The game is balanced and optimized around that content. It's intended for a Classic player to tackle that content as the end-game challenging content of the game.

In the main game, classes, systems and gameplay in general are all tuned for the proper experience in the newest expansion. The old stuff is just there as legacy content to run through for the completionists and/or maybe for people leveling their alts. Trying to tune all expansions properly for max level play is hard and pointless, if not just downright impossible.

Re-releasing expansions as standalone server types like Classic makes at least some sense, because it more closely emulates the experience of actually playing those expansions, so if there are actually people interested, Blizz should go (and is going) that way. Trying to make all content relevant, including old expansions in one game, makes no sense at all.

Timewalking is the worst content currently in the game, and any attempt at making max level players do old content is just a shitty experience.

The only way to revive old expansion content is to re-release that expansion. Downscaling is just bad.
