There was an advert for it that broadcast in the UK and Australia where it showed people eating Creme Eggs in a variety of ways and some sheila was like "I like it with chips... mmm" and ya girl just dips a mcdonalds french fry in.

Horrific.

I'm always amazed how the USA is like the fast food place of the world but they gag at the idea of mixing mustard and mayo together to make a mustard mayo ( which is great with roast potatoes or any dressing that requires both mayo and mustard to be used or with really savory meats )

Or they never heard of ketchup and mayo mixed together ( usually with a little drip of whiskey ) to make a Marie Rose sauce which is great in a shrimp salad or with grilled meat. ( usually Marie Rose sauce is with Worcestershire sauce and a squeeze of lemon but its so much better with just mayo,ketchup and a drip of whiskey )

I mean I'm from a small ass country and we easily got over 65 sauces we use for fries or fried food, and in those sauces you find like easily 30-35 different flavor profiles ( some kinda look and taste a bit like others but mostly they are unique )
I already get sad every time I walk into a BK over here cause they only know mayo and ketchup, and that's both on their burgers as with their fries.

To be fair, a major part of the criticism is Heinz as a brand themselves from people I know. It's not the most highest of qualities, just more readily available and usually one of the cheaper choices.

That being said, mustard be nasty in general in my opinion.

The problem is that your fries are not evenly arranged in their container. So like 5 fries are drowning in ketchup, 5 fries have vague hints of ketchup, and the rest have none.

The ones on top get soggy!

My little brother used to line his fries up on a plate and dress each one individually. Too much work imo.

Gravy on the side, along with ketchup on the side. I like to switch up what I dip.
As for the people who do mayo, I don't know how you can eat a whole thing of fries with it. I can do like maybe 4 fries with aioli, and then I realize I'm eating oily fried potatoes with an oil and air dip; there's too much fat and even the amount of acid in the mayo can't cut through that.

2-3 tbs mayo depending on heat tolerance.
1 tsp Dijon mustard

Not really. It means salt which has no iodine added in it. Which is common in salt here because many people where suffering from a iodine deficiency before they started adding it to salt.
