World of Warcraft
If you do not wish to engage in open world PvP combat in World of Warcraft, disable War Mode.

Harassing a character for a very very long period of time, was actionable on PVP servers previously (some guild litteraly followed people for days killing them on sight). But it is not since war mode introduction. You litteraly have now an option to stop the ganking, no matter your server.
Blizzard don't intervene in PVP since then. That's just the fact.

It's not rewarding. Literally sitting there and scratching your ass gives you more honor. People who do it, certainly don't do it for the honor reward.

But yeah, that's why you have the option to turn the warmode to off. I have 50 characters and I never touched warmode leveling them to 120.

World PvP is more like feature, not opportunity in this game. Exists just ast it is. Don't think they are going to change a lot in coming years.
