    Bring back warforging!

Am I the only person who actually likes this concept? And by no means was it implemented succesfully.
Because the ilvl got way to high thanks to titanforging..
I also miss the days of reforging but for some lame reason(s) we can't have that back..

WF/TF was harder to balance by, it meant people would pass on items in hope of getting a WF/TF version and it just added more RNG. I like the lesser loot we get these days. I’m good without it.

Yeah, this was bound to happen. Nobody will ever be content with whatever blizz does.
Personally, I'm good without it. I like the loot system right now more than ever before.
WoW players are all trash? M+ leavers? Pug raid fails? You don't have stuff to do? WoW has become a solo player game for you? People don't talk anymore? Everyone's toxic? I have a simple solution, just for you!

The loot system now is atrocious. WF/TF was terrible but the loot drought we're in right now is even worse.

Agree. Warforging was the only chance I had to get decent and good loot from M+.

    No don't. It was wank.

Reforging was great but that'll never come back, not wit hthe time and data driven metrics the game is clearly designed around now.
    1) Load the amount of weight I would deadlift onto the bench
    2) Unrack
    3) Crank out 15 reps
    4) Be ashamed of constantly skipping leg day

Rather bring gear reforging so a offstst piece has some use

I liked warforging/titanforging. I could continue running a heroic raid with my guild without feeling like I'm wasting my time, even after getting all the drops, because there was always a chance for an upgrade.

Toward the end of BfA I was dreading raid nights because there was literally no point to running Heroic Ny'alotha once I had gotten literally everything I could out of it. But I felt obligated to my guild and just continued to suffer through it. WF/TF would have helped a bit with that.

    yes and titanforging also cheers

I'm all for it as it was a fundamental incentive for me to want to go back and do trivial content to help my fellow adventurer.

I still think that a system like this would only make sense as an extension of MoP's item upgrade system where you could use currency you got via PvE activities to upgrade all items by a few ilvls. With WF proc making so the item starts partially or fully (though this could be reserved for titanforging) upgraded, meaning you can start upgrading other items faster and get max ilvl sooner. The whole ilvl upgrades already filled the same niche as WF/TF of making people more willing to rerun content after initial clears, while making it so everyone could work on it with something to actually show for the effort. Doing things this way would have changed WF/TF from a source of frustration where you get fuck all 10th week in a row to a source of a nice lucky bonus allowing you to save on the upgrade currency, which was probably the biggest complaint people had about it.

Think it felt best in SoO. I like the idea of going after more loot when you've beaten a raid so you still have something to do and aim for but it does suck that the existence of WF makes it 'mandatory' before new content releases because there isn't another pre-raid gearing process that often takes place with the new tier before the next raid releases which would invalidate the WF being mandatory for next tier but still helpful in previous tier.

No, WF/TF was one of the main reasons I quit raiding at the time, it ruined the joy of getting an item because you are annoyed it didn't WF.

Now when I get a weapon off Denathrius I know it's my BiS and I feel like i've maxed my character

  14. #14
No thanks. Nothing like having to do old, irrelevant world bosses because the trinket or weapon was much better than other 'BiS' if it WF/TF'd. Ditto for world quests that dropped stat stick trinkets, on the off chance you got a max TF roll on it.

I'd rather do current-tier content for my BiS gear, if it's all the same to you.

Personally I liked MoP stuff, where badges were still a thing to upgrade gear with similarly to how honor gear currently functions. Doesn't get you to heroic/mythic raid ilvl, but it made catchup feel better to me. Unfortunately the existence of M+ pretty much all but guarantees these kind of systems won't make a comeback.

Personally, I would rather go back to Valor upgrade system then Warforging. The current PvP gearing system is so good atm - You have your limitations and can only get roughly 2 pieces a week, but you can get those pieces straight to 226 IF you yourself are skilled enough.

So yea, bring back Valor to allow you to upgrade your pieces as long as you have done the content yourself - I.E. You have to do Mythic raid in order to get 226, ect.

Indeed. The only way to bring back Warforging would be as part of an Upgrade System, meaning items could drop with one or two levels of upgrade already applied.
But your duty to Azeroth is not yet complete. More is demanded of you... a price the living cannot pay.

A npc with buyable things for point is just laughable Pve wise. Ok it’s nice for pvp I agree. M+ and raid needs to get forging back, and rolls. All those QoL changes for solo player need to come back. Raiding to me is dead and fake anyways. I love the freedom legion and bfa have to players and I would love to get that back. Btw I only manages to main one char during those expansions. Even a restart of legion and bfa would give me more to do and feel than this shadowlands.

pretty much this, possible random upgrade would be fine as long as there was way to "catch up" with it

the loot system now is the worst its ever been, well maybe legion was worse, wod had it pretty damn good....only 6 lvl warforged and valor ilvl upgrade is perfect place to be,you get your rng ilvl fix wile not being extreme like legions TF and you get that sense of progression over time of upgrading ilvl with valor
