It's about some of the people who latched on to him like the "dirtbag left" grifters who try to appeal to both the alt-right and progressives/lefties who are frustrated with status quo/conservative dems. I don't think Neeko qualifies as she's just an attractive young woman who makes her money from gaming streams, but there are people out there peddling quasi-left, anti-sjw garbage via their podcasts and Paetrons. Once you get a whiff of their bullshit you can identify them pretty easily. They're not all that different from the "I'm really a true liberal being forced to the right because the gosh darn left has gone nuts" crowd. Red Scare and Joe Rogan come to mind.

Shakes' shtick is the enlightened establishmentarian "liberal". He does a lot of virtue signaling but ultimately he is solidly in the "more or the same" camp.
