I personally don't mind the themes, politics and whatnot if it's something that makes sense and was built into the core of the world / fantasy of the game. However I do agree that anything related to real world politics and agendas, that isn't natively part of the narrative, or introduced as an actual plot point, but forced in as a way for a company to score points does not belong in any of the entertainment industries - Despite that, it's inescapable, so deal with it and vote with your wallet.
