Trading post is a real success story.

This is probably one of the better changes I've seen in this game so far. Someone who is addicted to tinkering and completing checlists in games like Division 2, New World, you name it. I'm very happy to see Blizzard is finally capitalizing on it. Whilst also showering players with it's small and regular content updates is just a cherry on top of all.

Glad you're liking it, for me personally it hasn't got any rewards that's making me want to log in, I saw some people flying on the new mount already so the activities can be done in a few hours, rather than over the course of a month.

Couldn't see anything I liked the look of and made me again want to spend my currency on, but that's just down to the individual. Throw me in some more quest chains in there for some tokens and away I go.

Happy custommer, thank you for attending my ted talk.
Sure, but D2 is like $5 and has no sub. Also confused as to how this even relates to D2?

Not gonna lie, this month doesn't really have any rewards I really want with the exception of the mount you get for completing the monthly tasks, but regardless I think this will be good for the game overall.

I'm honestly super pleased with Blizzard and that's not something that happens too often in recent years.

Not only has Dragonflight exceeded my expectations in quite a few areas, but they now implement a system that rewards player loyalty + gives the ability to get cosmetics that have been removed from the game / are unique? Amazing.

I hope they keep on this path and don't get greedy or complacent.

"success story" after 2 days... okay.
You are welcome, Metzen. I hope you won't fuck up my underground expansion idea.

I mean you can go do old quest chains you haven't done or do some on an alt. There's one for completing 30 quests among a variety of other activities.

Too early to judge. It doesn't have anything interesting for me for now. I already have 1100 tokens, that is enough to buy mount. So, for me it's just about waiting for good mount to appear there and spending saved tokens. Too easy to be truth. Once Blizzard will run out of unique rewards, they will most likely change this feature to something less bearable.

    I don't care about Wow 11.0, if it's not solo-MMO. No half-measures - just perfect xpack.

Why even play the game if you're that pessimistic about it?

I just hope they never release items that cost more than 1000 coins. That would be so annoying, to have to pool coins until the next month. If I knew I could just use everything and still be able to buy the 1 big ticket item the next month, that would be so nice.

One of their biggest success stories recently! They only had to run three 6+ hour emergency maintenances because they clearly had not thought to test the refund function. Multi dollar company and all but an oversight like that is quite telling (they do not test their content) Great for people who like all the little toys and pets but to call this a success story after 2 very rough days, nah mate.

It's simple logic. Rewards will be enough to keep players interested for may be year max. What then? May be it's enough for Blizzard, but I don't think so. My guess - they will add hard rewards with time. Such rewards, that will cost may be 100k.

Yes, you can finish it in a couple of hours. I did the elite world quest, fishing daily, siege on dragonbane, two hunts, world boss and some other world quests and was done with it in maybe 2h. World quests count as both quest and world quest, daily quests count as quest and rares count as daily quest so they also count as quest.

As for rewards. The new mount is nice with changing its color depending on the time of day and I didn't buy the celestial steed when it came out. But apart from that there isn't really anything that interests me. Let's hope there will be more interesting rewards next month.

FOMO only exists for the inept or lazy, who dont try for something, then cry when any notion of removing it gets discussed.

Thank you for allowing us insight into your coding history, and expertise in running an MMORPG for millions of players smoothly.

god the unemployed people of this age crying when they cant waste there life on something the second it gets released.

games used to take days for patches to stabilise and no one batted an eye.

now the game has a rough patch hours after a maintenance and people grab the pitchforks and gasoline/matches.

Im not convinced you understand what FOMO is. FOMO only impacts the opposite of the lazy - those who fear missing out on something so much they go out of their way to ensure they dont. What you are maybe talking about is those who hate timed rewards - its not FOMO, its the opposite - they are NOT victims of FOMO but are pissed off that people got rewards purely because they were at the right place at the right time.

You are showing your age - or lack of. Games used to lack the ability to be patched at all, and many games in the early days of the internet took months to address stability issues, not "days", and that absolutely includes wow. There was a time during early wow were server stability was so dire, people could barely play for weeks on end - not consistently, but sporadically. It was so bad they added 3 days (iirc) gametime, and there have been other times they added 1 to a few days gametime because it took them so long to fix the issue.

Even as recently as BFA players had issues with world lag (server end) for the duration of the expansion.

If it wasn't real game companies wouldn't hire psychologists to help them prey on people.
