If I was a Blizz server technician, I'd hijack a server and use it to download porn 24/7. Guess why the instance servers always are full B]

I'll delete all my chars, and make a priest whenever a 100% holy dmg crit talent comes out!

To the point...other's have said it best already though. It's mainly 1 of 3 things. People like to be different and make different things work, or they like the "feel" of DPSing with holy spells since it's the only real holy caster that can, or they like the spell types and rotation feel, the play style if you will.
I used to have a lolsite dps spec back in TBC. I actually farmed pretty fast and owned lots of people in PVP. With high enough holy crit I was able to heal really good and pump out a lot of free instant smites with SoL. SoL was broken back then though and it was able to proc off itself creating (with high crit and luck) lonnggg chain procs. After they fixed that it wasn't as viable anymore but still fun.
One time I had 4 in a row proc on a mage...that's 4 instant, free mana, crit smites in 5 seconds. He was dead quick I wish they never fixed that! I WISH I still had my old pics, because my record was 8 SoL smites proccing off each other in a row. It looked awesome all lined up in the combat log.

It's kind of sad. You don't know these people, they aren't in your guild, most likely they aren't even on your server. Why the need to bash them for looking for entertainment outside the little box you created of what you HAVE TO play no matter what?
ironically you took the bait and bumped the threadOriginally Posted by Zinge

So I got my smiter to 80 (finally), but im looking for a bit of help in gearing up... Ive been running a priority system thats like Int=Spl>Crit>Haste=Spirit, but im not sure if thats even remotely close... Ive also been building a few different sets(with varied amount of intell) for heroics V raids. How much mana are you guys finding you need to make it through encounters?
Sadly the RawR spriest model only sort-of supports holy-dps... is there a good spreadsheet out there?, and is that gear priority anywhere near correct?
I know there was some math done in the other smite thread, but I think it was mostly rotational - if its there plz just point me in the right direction.
whats up with all the hate here?
and tbh as i have stated in another thread: smite > ALL for lvling! at least in lower lvls, ill have to test shadow to compare it at lvl 40 or 45 maybe, but at the moment ( lvl 35) smite is insane.
The World of Warcraft is a game of much complexity, sometimes there's fire, and you have to not stand in it
