    Cool Why do clothies think there not OP?

    I just want to see if anyone agrees with me, most clothies of every spec I see and talk to online they always say there not OP and there very tough specs to play and apparently if I disagree with them they say L2P, noob, ur bad and all of that kinda stuff...

    Does anyone else agree?

    Awesome sig by Nifzilla!

    My frost mage is stupidly OP.
    So is my Ele shaman.
    So is my rogue.
    So is my boomkin.

    Lot's of things are OP right now.

    No, just no.

    Its cause of the eternal argument that existed since Vanilla "What takes more skill, casters or melee"

    Naturally, if you believe "Casters take more skill" than you won't accept anything that comes close to saying "Clothies are OP", since after all, how could something that takes most skill be OP?

    (Talking from the PoV of your general player, I know something can take alot of skill but still be OP).

    Last edit:
    Also, atm it are the clothies claiming to not be OP, but if most of the melee classes were OP, most of the melee class players would disagree saying the melee classes are fine. This is just human nature, they believe they are skilled and refuse to acknowledge that it is the strenght of their class and not their own skill.

    I wish =/ at least Blizz finally addressed the issues with combat.

    OT: Idk how well locks are doing. My disc priest is now a ton of fun, but no more OP than any other class. Shadow kinda got hit with the nerf stick, but it's still pretty powerful. Mage is the only clothie who is seriously pwning unfairly IMO.

    Skill takes more skill. Class is irrelevant.

    Also what level are you talking about? Are you talking about top level or while still leveling and if so in which bracket?

    You want people to say "yes omg casters are so overpowered" but it all depends.

    Melee are absolutely tearing it up at low levels in most aspects of the game. Rets can solo "at level" 5mans up until Sunken Temple, druids can too (kitty/bear). Rogues can one shot people in BGs up until level 55ish. Melee in general are leveling faster since they can kill faster than casters due not having cast times. Yes I know things like energy and CDs exists on melee, but they are still able to level faster and with less down time.

    If you are talking level 80...
    Mage and Destruction Warlocks deal too much damage on bosses in raids. Most casters are pretty powerful in PvP right now - however if you are in 1400+ resilience like you should be... casters aren't that bad. Its when they have 1400 resilience and you have less than 800 that it looks like casters are stupidly OP.

    TL/DR?

    Mages and Destro locks at 80 do too much damage in PvE. Casters are powerful in PvP at 80 against targets who are not in full PvP gear.

    Just wanted to second this... a Skilled player can pick up any class and within 2 hours know and understand that class's mechanics, spec, glyphs, gemming, and rotation/priority. Note that I said "Understand that classes mechanics, spec...". Not "I read this on EJ so I went with it". A skilled players knows WHY they spec, gem, and glyph the way they do, and why their rotation/priority is what it is.

    Class has nothing to do with it. A player has skill, or doesn't.
    Most players think that they have skill, but don't.

    Because ever since the game was released, any class you may play is definitely not OP and is in fact terrible and needs a buff. Duh.
    I once had a character named "Clamslam" but Blizzard deemed it inappropriate.

    Only "OP" things Ive countered in bgs as an affliction warlock were warriors if they get the jump on me, and shadowpriests no matter what they are doing, fighting 10 guys, still op, fighting just me, most definitely still op.

    I can't really say if people consider affliction locks op, but I will say if i can get the jump on anyone, bar shadowpriests, ive usually beat them in the bgs, even if its a group because of glyphed soulswap, i can get full dots on 2 guys relatively quick.

    Clothies always feel OP when they know the right rotations to use on different classes. Kite and blast. How I loathe those spell-swingers.

    I agree. When a caster manages to kite the shit out of me, it feels like they're OP. When a melee manages to stunrape me, it also feels OP. But then I go and learn how to avoid those situations, and then they're not OP anymore.

    Lets face it,
    OP =/= Over Powered.
    OP = Out Played.

    Pretty much this. I'm astonished at how many people let my arcane mage free cast in BGs now. It was the same way pre-patch on my shaman. I could go 2v5 in Bgs because they would keep attacking the healer, while never bothering to kill the very easily killable shaman knocking 8k+ crits on them. There may be slightly Overpowered classes, but a lot of people are just morons.
