On my old CoolIT ECO, having the reservoir upside down pretty much caused my CPU to overheat. -_-
Haven't had a chance to test. I flipped it and then left to go to work. I don't anticipate much of a change, however. After four hours of Shadow of Mordor last night the peak average temp across all cores was 59C (and as a sidebar - the peak temp on the 970 was 70C running 1300MHz core and 7500MHz memory! ).

Shitty phone camera and the inside was a bit dusty as I added the GTX980 couple weeks ago.

I think you forgot the clicky in these ones, nwn!
Anyway, looking at your GPU, I can't help but think that they have looked to try to reduce size of the cooler.
How far off are we when they can realistically make a single-slot GTX 960 (Ti?) or GTX 1070? I would totally be open for that.
I realise the practical difference is still fitting a fan in there and still squeeze heatsinks underneath, but a goat can dream, can goat not?

    Links are fixed, sorry!

And yeah, I was very surprised at how small the cooler was with the 970. It could just about be single slot.

Good sir, you need to re-assess your standards on what "massive" means when it comes to heatsinks :P

Mine's not massive but I am pretty sure it is larger than the true copper. :-P

The true copper still is one of the heaviest heatsinks It's actually bigger than the Noctua NH-D14

I remember when I got a Vantec Aeroflow and thought THAT was a big heatsink...

Some more pictures of the juicy MSI GAMING 4G GTX970. And my case and stuff.

I need to get fancier PSU cabling since these stock Seasonic ones are extremely stiff. Also shorter SATA cables would be nice... And a second Caviar black!

Pretty much my only gripe with Seasonic PSU's, I think I broke a finger or two trying to get the 24pin cable to bend around my case. And they don't even make sleeved sets like Cosrair

It's certainly heavy (1900g), but not that big. Compared to Mugen 4 for example, while three times as heavy, it's only 75% in volume.

    Mugen 4: 130 x 88 x 156,45 mm
    True Copper: L132 x W63 x H160.5 mm

The Mugen is just wider but I was not saying it's the biggest heatsink. It is a big and heavy heatsink though.

    Edit:
One of the biggest heatsinks is the Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme lol

I bought a Hyper 212 EVO and a Corsair SPEC-03 without double checking measurements, and I don't think the cooler's going to fit properly, even with the case's widened side panels.

What cooler should I get? I want to stick with this case.

How would a Hyper 212 not fit in a regular ATX case?

Never a good idea. Could fry hardware that way.
