Hooray, looks like atleast 1 epic schematic for engineeris in 4.2 the gun looks incredibly good and i know ill make a buck selling theese the first month for sure.
Now lets just hope they update the engineer heads for 4.2 aswell as the cogwheels.

Anyone thing we'll be getting something else? I could see us getting another tinker or bomb designed to be used in firelands raid but i doubt we'll get anything but this gun schematic + updated engineering head.

Exactly, if they dont update the engineering head or the cogwheels this whole "experiment" that blizzard made with cogwheels would be a failure, which imo it isn't. The Engineering head is awesome. they do however need to make the socket bonuses a bit more "ok" for tanks to use aswell even if engineering is considered a dps profession.
So yeah, if they dont update the engineering heads + cogwheels i will be one sad Bear.

I think engineering is considered a "make really cool but useless stuff" profession.

If that's the "vision" blizzard intent for engineering just make it 3profession like First Aid, Cooking, Fishing and Archealogy.
I'm almost certain that Archealogy will have more entery raiding epics than Engineering, which imo is wrong.

I for one think it's about time Engineering is being treated as a crafting profession, even if we mainly make things for ourselves..
A cool thing for the next expansion would be to make engineering made grenades part of raiding "use" so we atleast get one thing to sell on the Auction House.

Archeology has too much RNG involved for it to be seriously considered in such a comparison.

Yeah true but engineering is a profession that uses alot of mats and not being able to trade most of the items we make not only hurts the economy aspect of engineering but also the way that it's looked upon. we could start a poll and almost everyone would say it's pure pve or pvp dps profession, it needs some diversity.

we really do need an upgrade to our helm, and i dont mean having to craft an entirely new helm, i mean give us a recipe that we can just upgrade our older helm so its not so expensive
