He has no escapes and no hard cc (no, pull doesn't count unless your name is katarina), and his main harass ability has little range. A lot of common solotops can either cc him enough to kill him with the jungler's aid and/or harass him quite safely. The main problem is, if you get queued up with a solotop who doesn't know how to play against darius, it can cost you the game. But trust me, there are scarier champions. Right now jarvan is a living nightmare if correctly played, because most solotops have little to no experience against him and his mobility allows him to get a lot of kills.

I usually just grab Yorick if no one else wants to face the Darius. However, I'm sure Nidalee (my weakest champ, just guessing), Jayce, Teemo, Cho'Gath, etc would all do fine. I don't play a lot of top lane, but I'm sure some google searching will find you a nice pool of champs to choose from. Use your strongest and go for it.

PBE Update. Lots of balance changes. Riven's health regen got gutted. Diana's R range is where I thought it should have been set for the original nerfs. Blackfire Torch is now really expensive and Iceborn Gauntlet Ezreal was fun while it lasted.

They're reverting the Alistar headbutt range nerf, reverted the BC armor shred nerf, and more TLC for Syndra. Not sure what the mana cost reduction to Annie's Q is for though. Originally Posted by Axethor

The armor shed itself was always unique, the CDR and ArmPen was what made cleaver stacking OP and nothing has changed there. Originally Posted by Kenai
