    [Bio] Farah Wood

    Name: Farah Wood
Age: 20 at time of death. 10 years in death.
    Race: Forsaken
    Gender: Female

    Father: Aland Wood

Appearance: Much like Grand Apothecary Putress' robes only augmented with her own personality. They are a very light blue combined with deep purples and because of her skills she had version his gloves made specially. They work to cover her hands and fingers completely but allow for the fingers to be removed easily. Although she really wears her hood and prefers to keep a simple mask over her mouth and nose when working with regular poisons. The hood is too confining for the delicate workings of mixing potions and poisons. Even after the betrayal of their now dead leader, she wears a full tabard of the Society's seal colored in black and white. Many different stains of variring colors cover it. While many of her features have been lessened because of the decay of her body, she still has her dark brown hair inherited from her mother. She only stands at five feet tall though and because of it usually underestimated.

She carries no normal weapons but instead a heavy belt lined with potions of varying colors and vials of different shapes and sizes. And always a regular sized pack on her back. Several vines of herbs attached to it and coming out of the different pockets. Always the clinking of vials can be heard when she walks.

Personality: Quiet would be best to describe Farah. In her life she was helpful and always egear to learn but since her death she has become far more somber and almost bitter about her lot in life but not outwardly. Not much interests her save for her arts. She feels it is the only way to stay conected to the parents she lost and because of this she has sunk herself into becoming a powerful Dark Apothecary. Still not fully used to her new place in the world, perhaps because of her early death, she is often disobedient and questioning of her orders. Aside from that she makes quick friends with almost anyone she meets. Farah will often pretend to relish in causing pain in the living just to not stand too far out in the Society, after all she needs their support.

Lastly though while the rest of the Society may only be using the lie that they are working on a remedy to cure their "illness" as a cover for their creation of plauges and poisons, Farah works tirelessly whenever possible on actually finding a cure. So far her attempts have been fruitless even working with the cure for the plauge but reversing it has been far from effective, and thus making her all the more focused and determined. Only when her work is threaten does Farah become unreasonably violent.

Class: Having died before reaching her adult years and choosing her own path she took the only one available to her in death. Having studied under her mother and father learning the arts of alchemy and herbology, she joined the ranks of the Royal Apothecary Society imediantly. Becoming a Dark Apothecarist.

Languages: From her work within the Society she has master all the languages of the Horde and while she may not admit it to anyone within the Horde, even her friends, she still remembers the language of the living, Common.

Likes/Dislikes: She doesn't like killing others but finds it nessecary to keep her role in the Society and continue to live the arts of her mother. She enjoys growning and finding her own herbs as opposed to buying them or requesting them from the Society. She doesn't follow the Light anymore but continues to respect its members. She hates torturing. All the poisons she uses are designed to kill quickly or painlessly. She remembers some of her death, not the pain, but the suffering of her grandmother as she failed to save Farah. And so she doesn't want to have to spread that kind of pain to others.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Through her arts she has become immune to all but the most lethal of poisons and can now spread them through her own touch. Her blood and sweat have become highly toxic from her almost constant exposure to the chemicals she works with. Given the age she died at though she is very short and a weak fighter because of it, but her aim is second to none. Because of her unwillingness, and somewhat fear, to fight the Light it is all that more effective against her.

    History:

    Life:

Born durring the Start of the Second War to Aland and Miranda. She was at times a well behaved child but for the most part quiet a handful. She never saw much of the War as her father kept her and her mother in the safety of Hearthglen. She grew up knowing two very loving parents and was devoted as they were to the Light. Although she never had an aptitude for their teachings. Farah instead worked closely with her mother in learning her trade. Not often did they get to go picking their own herbs but from what Farah remembers of her life those were the best times. Each herb different and special in its own way. She looks at them all as ordinary people look at flowers, each of them beautiful.

At the age of 15, she and her family left for new Stratholm. While her father, Aland, was off working for the Knights of the Silver Hand her mother and her opened their own Apothecary. Just a small shop but they worked hard and helped the church with potions and herbs as much as they could. During these few years of peace she worked hard to make their shop larger and larger. A real talent with potions they quickly made a name for themselves. Farah wouldn't admit it but her mother freely said it was all thanks to her daughter that their shop did so well.

Then the plague came. Confusion and panic spread through the town faster than the plauge. No one had an idea. It hit them quickly, later she found out through the grain shipments. People dieing and turning faster than people even knew what it was. Friends turning and attacking so soon after they had just died was shocking to say the least. One such friend did so in front of Farah's eyes in her shop. Reacting more than thinking, Farah quickly grabbed several potions nearby and threw them at her now undead raging friend. The result was a deafening blast and tore apart her shop. Rescued by her mother and brought back to the safety of their house but their fate was already sealed. While awakening from the blast she felt feverish and saw her mother already unconscious and quiet painfully ill. Her grandmother, Alice, stood over her with tears in her eyes. The thought slowly came to form in her mind that she was about to die and then nothing at all was in her mind. Only a voice started to echo in her mind urging her to kill. The last images she remembers was her father in full armor bursting in and grabbing her grandmother with a sadness in his eyes she had never seen before. After that was just death......

    Death:

She awoke and all she hungered for was to kill and convert those alive to be like her. All but the most basic instincts were gone from her mind for the first few months. Most of what she did for those mounts remains suppressed in her mind and most likely the only thing that keeps her sane. When she regained some sense on her former self she was forced to work with poisons and kill many people. Finally a peace came when the voice echo'ing in her head started to resend to all but a whisper and she finally broke free of it. Others tried to enter but focusing all of her being she pushed them out and worked to help free the others with her. Under the rule of the Banshee Queen Sylvanas Windrunner, they were finally free.

But that is when the new voice entered her mind, her own. She realized that never could she return to her old life, her old family, her old friends. She found few who lived with her in Stratholm but didn't care for their company as all it did was remind her of her family. Soon the Royal Apothecary Society was formed and she found a way to possibly return to her life. Their goal, which she soon learned was a lie to the Horde, was to cure their illness. Unfortunately when she discovered the lie she was already deep in the organization and with her only real skill in the alchemic arts. She decided to cover her true research and use the funding of the Society to truly find a cure.

Many times she has considered looking for her father but stopped when she heard tales of him from the ranks of their warlocks. He was a frightful holy warrior bent on removing them and their kind from the world. She already knew the reason for this and was not surprised when she found her own grave. Still though she hasn't given up hope of finding the cure and returning to her father, hopefully to end his suffering. To let him know he isn't alone in the world.

Over the years however she became more adapt at poisons than she wanted to be and thus was put on many missions. However she has received many punishments for refusing such missions and recently they have just stopped giving her things that deal with the followers of the Light. Grand Apothecary Putress' betrayal was not unexpected as they tried to recruit her on several occasions, ultimately she killed the last fool that tried to get her to turn on her queen. While she may not be overly found of her role in the world now Farah would never betray her Queen. After all she owed her freedom and un-life to her.

Since the downfall of the Lich King though those are becoming more and more rare and pressure is being put on her to deal with the Scarlet Crusade. She was present during the Battle of Gilneas and helped to spread the plague against her wishes. The shattering was a blessing as it allowed her to return back to Undercity. The Forsaken's failure there allowed her personal retreat to be overlooked and being one of the few loyal members of the Society left tended to help.

Since then she has been working in Tarren Mill. Researching and experimenting with the recently undead workers from South Shore. Not ideal but they were some the best chances to reverse the "illness" she had. Others of her kind saw it as an improvement but little did they know almost all her subjects were volunteers.

Well I've already set up Aland as almost a zealot when it comes to anything demonic or undead. But really it's more that he see's his wife and daughters faces constantly. He may be sharp and powerful paladin but his mind is near the edge. He blames the Light yet still works for it and follows its path. But seeing his daughter having been forced to become that which he fights so desperately against it might just push him all the way to the fanatic side the Scarlets follow.

And also she knows what he has become and then you have to see what she has become. With her freewill in tacked now she hasn't been exactly innocent, even if it is for the sake to find a cure. Her actions aren't something she can just dismiss.
