It is. The GSL preshows got me into it. Only like the female singers though, male kpop singers... seem wrong.

I find it as repulsive, cheesy, and uninspiring as any Justin Bieber number.
Not to mention that utterly transparent cutesy act. No doubt everyone with an asian fetish eats that shit up though.
"The truth, my goal."
It's girls' generation.. a bunch of hot korean women singing, how the hell could you not find that addictive?
SNSD knows their target audience and hits them with the right stuff. Probably better than most musical groups out there.
Ahh that song is so fecking awesome
No, no it is not
That goes for pretty much any language you're not used to hearing. Now that I've watched anime for so long, I can hear Japanese like I do spoken English, I just don't understand the meanings. Although sometimes I can pick out what sentence means by picking out a few key words/phrases that I'm used to hearing and filling in the rest.
I like some of the girly songs.. but only certain ones.
This is probably my favorite k-pop/j-pop song.
I can't post link? Messed up. Anyhow, do a youtube search for "Gackt ghost part 11" the result will be a live concert performance that is amazing.
I find J-pop more addictive.... Although k-pop is somewhat more oriented towards boy bands I like to watch all the girls in j-pop bands and run around in maid outfits... And I'm gay lol xD
Namie Amuro is pretty much the only asian artist that has some solid songs, you guys should download her album Past<Future, it's great.
SNSD has like 2 or 3 good songs (Oh, Gee, Genie) rest is pretty bland. 2NE1 is a better girlgroup imo.

There are subtle differences which I can't quite articulate properly without sounding vague, but after a lot of exposure to both you pick up on them (And the languages are much easier to tell apart)
I normally go into J-rock phases:

to list a few, although j-pop can be pretty addictive (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xA4fTFzpEWc)
But yeah this is about kpop so I better stop posting offtopic :P
