Once classic launches every nay sayer will eat their own words which is why debating them has been a waste of time, they have No idea what they are talking about.
Its a great game, it does have a shelf life if you only play one character and don't raid at all, it extends if you do raid and if you play more than one character because the leveling experience is a massive part of that experience.
Most nay sayers will enjoy it despite themselves but they'll reach end game and act like the twats they are in bfa and nobody will want to group with them and they'll leave, the entitled "wrath babies" will expect a piece of loot every dungeon when in reality it can be a week before you get a relevant drop at end game, and longer once you start hunting down the last few pieces because everyone else wants those pieces too.
Dragonflight Nerfs vs fun again show a Blizzard that hasn't learnt a lesson, Actions speak louder than words afterall watch what they do and do not do.
Very good point. We'll have to see how this plays out. The other side of the coin would bring up the people that didn't play a private server because they knew it could be shut down at any point, voiding their progress. I'm that side of the coin. I'd rather pay knowing it's going to be reliable.
people like him thought it was nostalgia because wow has died a death of a thousand cuts, it's easy to forget all the tiny changes they've made over the years which have been bad for the game because they were all given to us in small doses over a long period of time. nostalgia is real, but in the case of classic it is simply a better game than retail which is why everyone is so excited. also, this is really nothing, wait for tbc to be released and you'll see the real difference between what wow was and what it is now.
Well then why do people act as if Classic is the liberator that will provide them eternal fun? In truth, it will stagnate after the initial fuss, just like BfA. The only problem is that retail will keep being exciting every new patch/expansion, while Classic's lifeline ends at Naxxramas.
Obviously lol? Thats still 2-2.5 years of awesome content that will stay pretty hyped due to how they are releasing content in stages. Cool thing is the good WoW didnt end at vanilla, they could re-release TBC and wrath which in my eyes are just as good as classic all things considered (classic was better in some, tbc/wrath better in others).
Venruki PVP casts for Blizzard of course he isnt going to bad mouth blizzard products.
I'm gonna let 'em know that Dolemite is back on the scene! I'm gonna let 'em know that Dolemite is my name, and fuckin' up motherfuckers is my game!

Oh boi that classic lookin' good. Time to reverse any negative opinions and play.
It'll be interesting to see what staying power it's got though, I can see myself jumping over to play instead of doing WQ's in spare time.. Raiding and PvP will probably just stick to retail.. The number required for classic probably won't be consistent after a few resets and having the fan base split won't make that any easier, Hell it's hard for groups on retail to keep grounps interested after a month now..
The FREE part.

Tried to explain this - they just ignore that logic, and the many, many youtubers and streamers saying its garbage.

They wont listen - they like being pandered to. Anything that tells them what they want to hear - they will ignore any balanced discussions, and the multitude of negative streams / videos about classic.
Played to 20 on beta now and although i only thought i'd play it to see how it is. I must admit it's great. The downtime between pulls and accidentally pulling couple more mobs can be very annoying but man the feeling after i completed 5 quest and heading back to town is so f good. I think when Classic is launched i'll level relaxed and enjoy the journy as much as possible. Leveling professions and doing every class quest. It's gonna be amazing.
Meanwhile i'll stay play retail for my weekly raids and m+. Everyone's happy.
Yes, because the vast numbers of people who've been watching Classic streams are only doing it because they are mindless robots who have to look at the latest new thing, it couldn't possibly be because there is genuine widespread interest in playing a proper social MMO.

Yea nah... that’s not a real connection, that’s assuming that a large portion of the player base literally only plays because it’s free when in fact these are the people who have been asking and petitioning for vanilla servers all this time. Guess they’ll all just back out when the servers finally get here because these grown ass people can’t afford $15 a month. Shit there’s a BIG number of these people who are subbed and playing private servers because they dabble in retail but prefer vanilla, that was me all the way up until the absolute piece of shit known as BFA came

Maybe it’s hard to keep groups interested because... and hear me out here... because the game is horrible now

The same people playing this for years, petitioning for vanilla wow to be made official, many of them even being subbed while also playing private servers, are just gonna not okay what they’ve asked for for years because of $15 a month, right.
$15 a month is literally not a big deal to like 90% of first world adults and for entertainment purposes most will gladly pay that, I mean there have been subs to wow this whole time, what the hell makes you think classic won’t have subs?
You transplant your experiences and the experiences of a minority onto the majority.
Having such a short time to your work mean that you have less prep time and meaning you can get away with sleeping later. I had an internship that had me travel for 2 hours (public transportation sucks), for six months my WoW time dropped so much that I was offline for a month,
This put me on the high end of the average, you're on the low end, the average is in between.
Some were playing for free, some were donating to keep servers running, some even donated really large amounts compared to a wow sub.
This continous effort to make ppl that play or have played on pservers look like parasites that only play for free doesnt stick and makes me believe that you still didnt understand the composition of said player base.
I'll even go further and say without a doubt, that if they release a pimped out classic collectors edition of some sort it will be a real sales sucess.
