But last we heard was that she cannot leave shadowlands so her future in DF is not clear so that made me wonder how we will end up finally leaving SL with Sylvanas being sent to the maw who made us enter SL in the first place

Portals in Oribos are canon. Throughout the shadowlands campaign, major lore NPCs are seen using them.

100% at the end of Shadowlands,

we end up back on Dragon isles when we go back to Azeroth.

Hopefully there will be something as cool as the first time you take the boat from Stormwind to Howling Fjord - passing under that flaming boat and the scenery was a great introduction to that zone.

More my hope was that it wouldn't just be a portal we click, so this works. Sounds like it might be a more immersive naval experience than we've typically had, even.
