Combat rotation same?

Hi i just wondered if the combat rotation was still the same as before 4.0.1 like:

SS-3cp-SnD-SS-5cp-evi
or
SS-4Cp-RS-evi

or is it something better? i know alot of peapole are new to this but just wondered if someone had figured it out.

Right now im only newly dinged 80 combat rogue only epic is T10 shoulder rest blue greend my dps i 1,5k.

I'm doing some fiddling, and it appears that it's also worth Rupturing nowadays. The rotation's quite fiddly at best.

So something like:

5 CP
SND
4 CP
RS
Rupture
4 CP
RS
Evisc

rinse, repeat, use all your cooldowns

hmm i kinda tested out the rupture rotation on a dummy but then i losed 200dps not much but its less than when i tryed the Snd-evi rotation

I tested a high rupture with rs versus just evi (no rupture no rs) and both yieled the same dps

You proobly got lower results on a dummy due to no scaling, in half Bis gear and a few other 264s i would do more unbuffed ona dummy with evis>rupture but ina raid boss ona tank n spank situation the results are quite opposite.

He massively over simplified how to play a rogue to help some one who has no idea. In fact trying to do that exact rotation is virtually impossible because there are multiple mechanics that cause it to be a dynamic "rotation" as opposed to back in BC where it was pretty much static and bland. I guess you probably hate pve'ing as a rogue because you are trying to use a set order of abilities and thus do miserable dps?

What do you guys do for ks and ar ? Bf is useless now and i pop AR at start with speed post and then use ks etc but not sure if it's the optimal.

I think I'm doing quite well rotation wise, i just hate that target switching is so clunky.
Still wish combo points were generated on the rogue rather than the target.

I like playing my enhancement shaman in PVE much more.

Vesker, why don't you make a macro for Sinister Strike/Revealing strike?
Sinister Strike on normal press, Revealing on Shift+Press?

I think (might be wrong) I've got SS on T, SnD on 1, Rupture on 2, Evisc on 3 and RS on 4.

The more I play, also, the more useful I think it can be to RS half-way through generating combo points, just so you don't waste the point if possible. It's quite fiddly and not worth worrying about for the moment, I'd say.

For KS, I tend to try and sync it with completely running dry on energy. All to often I use in and stare at my 100/100 energy for 3-4 seconds. Using AR (glyphed, omnom) with your haste pot and trinkets and zerking or whatever still is the best for some good old fashioned burst.

I haven't figured out why people wait with RS until the last CP. I use it fairly early like after 2-3 CPs to make sure it always gets used. Is there a reason why people aim for 4 CP and then RS?

But i kinda dont feel Bf is useless?
i have Bf macroed with my SS so when i hit SS it activate BF auto, so it will be upp 50% of the time.

on the other hand i have putted RS on 2 so heres my setup:
SS on 1, RV on 2, Evi on 3. SnD im not sure to use yet cuz i find more dps if i drop it in my current gear.

but, i find using BF more useful than useless, i have macroed BF with SS so each fight BF activates automatic so its upp at the beginning and then i have 1 less key to worry about.

As of witch key i have RS on is 2, so my keyset is like:
SS on 1, RS on 2, Evi on 3, im not sure if i want to set in SnD cuz when i tryed alittle i found out that using SnD lowered my dps by 200 rather than only spamming: SS to 4 Cp - Rs - Evi and ofc use Ar and Ks.

Ps: think im gonna test out mutilate today.

If you use BF that often you will drop dps on single target fights, since BF lowers your energy regen.

also, dont forget about Q, E, R, T, F, G, <, Z, X, C, V (and combos with shift or ctrl). Seems like allot of people are only keybinding using numbers.

ohh man thx didnt saw that Bf lowered my energy regen before now^^
and about the Q,E,R,T,F,G etc etc im using 3-4 of them as a ohh shitt, buttons like F=Vanish, T=Sprint and q= KS.
But i might change that in the future.

pretty much cram revealing strike inbetween your sinister strikes when building up for an offensive finishing move (doesn't work on recuperate or slice and dice, works on all the others though)

pretty much the exact same except that and no longer use blade flurry as a dps cooldown, and maybe try and use stuff like killing spree and adrenaline rush while you're at 15% bandit's guile for maximum potency.

yeah im so bored i switched to my mage pushing 1 and 2 and doin 25k DPS its so much harder


what classes actualy have a hard rotation... and no ENH/Feral arent hard they are just annoying
