Next Expansion + Hero Class

IF there is another class the most logical as has been stated is to have a mail wearing class. The best fitting would be to have each of its three specs compete for a different kind of mail, particularly to give competition to INT and INT/SPR mail which is exclusive to shamans. This way all gear would have a minimum of two specs rolling for it, with the exception of INT plate which is something they probably can't do away with unless they want to change Holy Pallys and remove all INT plate.

The reason I would lean towards there being another class, 'hero' or non is the way the raid tokens are currently set. Prior to Wrath each tier piece had three classes rolling for it. Wrath changed that and so one tier piece had 4 classes while the others had 3. With MOP two tier pieces have 4 classes rolling for them and there is one tier piece with 3 classes. Adding another class balances this because we get 4 classes rolling for each tier piece.

What I would hope for the next expansion is rather then leaving Azeroth and battling the burning legion on their turf, we defend Outland from a burning legion invasion that serves as a reminder to both the Horde and Alliance who the real enemies are. This way it gives Blizzard more time to do the expansions leading up to Sargeras where we sort out all the problems on Azeroth so we are actually sure that Azeroth won't get wrecked while we fight the burning legion.

The premise of another Outland expansion is not Cata wasn't to bad lets rehash more content, it's more lets survey Outland after we saved it see the land starting to heal (if thats possible) and then some burning legion burst forth into Outland and do some crazy stuff and spells that cause Outland to change, so we are not going through that waste that is Hellfire Peninsula but a new zone that has some of our memorable characters from questing at 60 as a link to the previous expansion not the whole basis for the current one.

isnt it enough that D3 introduced the monk class same time as MOP was about to do the same?

its lazy, i want to see somthing completly new, it doesnt have to be a new class,

how about intoducing giant races for both ali and horde (ogres vrykul) etc...
and they dont have to be pure ogres they can be half ogres as well like rexxar...looks good too.

how about adding all the sub races into the selection screen? brown orcs , tunakas and yunguls , undead humans , undead elfs , all the trolls sub races..etc they are so many....would be cool too..

For a new race I think it would be cool to introduce a bipedal lizard-like reptilian race for the Horde and the Jinyu or High Elves for the Alliance. If they did make High Elves available to Alliance maybe the stigma that comes with blood elves on the Horde side would go away.

Also I really want to play a Bard.

I also think it would be cool if they added new talent trees to each class.

i dont think we would go back to outland, maybe to use one of the portals there, but we have explored all of outland, that is all there is of it, a floating rock.

I would love to see what's behind one of those outland portals, I remember Blizzard stated that their existence opened endless possibilities for future expansions.

Warmage, also sometimes called Battlemage, is a Mage that fights in melee range.

It's a class that will never be added to WoW (it's essentially an enhancement shammy), but people seem to like the idea.

I may be wrong but I believe this was the original alpha design for warlocks: leather armor and firestone.

That's one option. Probably best suited to the Demon Hunter class being bandied about.

But there is still the problem that there is only 1 spec using intellect plate. Now short of changing the Priest class to wearing intellect plate, any new class I would love to see wearing intellect plate. So Battle Mages maybe?

if we were to get demon hunters during the burning legion expac they would be a leather wearing class dps/tnk and would also dw 1h weapons i am confident blizz wouldnt go against what we have already used in wc3 so def leather wearing dw 1h demon hunters who as one of their top moves would be metamorphisis but it would have to be slightly diff from demo locks and ofc more powerful cause dh have a natural more powerfulk meta

There will never be 2 classes sharing the same name, so since mages already exist.... Demon Hunter will not be named that either, due to the "Hunter" name already being used.

Blizzard already stated that they want to revive/bring back Illidan. It's possible that they'll bring a very modified Outland back, and they'll probably make it like they did with Old Azeroth during Cataclysm. Brand spankin' new.

You WANT to play a bard!? Well I guess in terms of WoW, most other class designs would end up falling horribly short of new because of how much ground each class covers via different specs. Warmage sounds like a dumb idea because of what's available. Demon Hunter regardless if it's melee or ranged has already has their iconic abilities picked apart by other classes. A bard WOULD be... for lack of a better word.... unique.

But WoW in general is so deeply entrenched in the holy trinity of rpgs that I can't see them making a bard class. Essentially a bard is a buff battery that stays at the back line providing support, but buffs in wow are brutally homogenized so that even ten man guilds can easily pull off 8/8 raid buffs + heroism/time warp. For a bard to be valid it would have to have some kind of dps or healing design (I do NOT want the guy with the Lyre tanking ANYTHING for me) and facing the facts, I don't see it playing out well.

Bards worked in FF11 because there really was the role of "YOU BUFF" and that was that, in the hugely number driven fast paced WoW a bard would have a hard time fitting in. Still, a hyper gimmicky class would definitely spice things up and I'd like that more than seeing loldemonhunterspree in the future. Heck, you could design bard songs to be based on role play and you have to actively /say song lyrics (without macros) to get your spells to work, THAT would be amazing.

That is a very bold statement. I would not dismiss the idea of a Demon Hunter just because of that.

There's one thing I don't like about a Demon Hunter spec for Warlocks, and that is, that it's probably melee and based on agility. That either means cloth agility gear has to be made or the Demon Hunter spec and ONLY the Demon Hunter spec gets to wear leather. And both solutions I don't like. Giving every WL spec leather would even be worse.

I dont know why everyone gets all nutty about playing as a hero class, They will just get a bad name because everyone and their momma will be making one and running around dungeons spamming buttons because they have no clue how to use the 30 buttons they have and they miss out on 35% of their game time by skipping directly to level 55+.

I doubt you will ever see the return of the hero class.

don't want another class.. would rather see more uniqueness or customization among existing specs. But since the trend is apparently removing customization and homogenizing classes, I guess that will never happen. whatever the new class is, it'll just be a rehash of something already existing anyway.

There are other planets out there besides Outland, and if you read the story where Valen predicts the future battle with the burning legion he notes all the sodiers are wearing crystal armor and wielding crystal weapons. He could not recognize where the battle was taking place and Valen knows what Outlands was like.

Also Demon Hunter could get a ranged spec if they enchant their dual blades to float and can command them to attack from a distance.
