Honestly the first thing that even came to my mind. Will we see this guy finally? My absolute favorite horde hero (and vote for Warchief).

Depends on the theme. If it's time travel, expect not to see anything of Rexxar, Jaina, Varian, Vol'jin and the other major lore characters not already on the Timeless Isle for 2 years.
FFXIV - Maduin (Dynamis DC)
Didn't we already see him in outland during BC? At blades edge? But yes I expect to see more of him this xpac.
If it has anything to do with traveling back in time I would say no. If so yeah I am sure he will show up it would be fitting.
The problem is that he has never been exactly a Warlord. A warlord , as far as I understand, is someone that controls a group of people and resources to do war. Rexxar is more than a nomad that hates civilization and doing war, only fighting for survival most of the time,
Oh he is cool as a character, but not a Warlord.
None of the Warlords (that we know of) are still alive. So it stands to reason either we go back in time to see those warlords, or find a new set of warlords on another floating continent relating to Draenor.
Either way, the Warlords are likely either a big threat or the big baddies themselves.

Wasn't Rexxar walking around in desolace during vanilla, or am I just making shit up?
Even if we went back in time, why wouldnt we see Rexxar? He would obviously be younger but were not going back in time that far. If the leak is to be believed that Grom will be a main character in the expansion, Rexxar was alive when the whole Mannoroth thing went down so I dont see why he wouldnt be involved. Even if it is about the Warlords (I'm reading this as the chiefs of the specific Orc Clans) he was involved with the Mok'Nathal clan and he was the son of its leader so I would think that even if he wasnt represented as the leader, he would still be involved somehow. Plus he was involved with bringing the stonemaul ogres into the horde so if you want Ogres as a playable race, he will somehow be involved there. There is a 100% chance we see Rexxar next expansion as far as I'm concerned.
I'm suddenly not even sure Warlords of Draenor is for WoW anymore... http://wow.joystiq.com/2013/10/23/he...mark-conflict/
WoD is far to narrow of a focus to be the name of their MOBA which spans several different IPs.
No way, Blizz has the trademark on HotS, theyre not gonna change it just because someone in Europe had something before it that wasnt trademarked under the name. Theyre all about the money. Plus Draenor is too WoW-centric to include the other IPs that blizz has.
No, Warchief in the Wow sense tend to mean that. Warlord has been used in Trolls (not the Dark spears) , Old gods minions(the boss in Dragon Soul), Nagas, and even dragons.

Maybe you feel that warlord is more appropiate for a horde since it is a pvp tittle, and not usually used for Alliance NPC, but that doenst mean that it is exclusive of the horde
I dunno I can see them using Draenor as a backdrop for a cross-IP Blizzard MOBA. Lore isn't particularly important in those games.
