This isn't a personal dig, it's a general comment about quitting: No-one would care if you quit. Obviously actual friends you've made would miss you... for a short while. But no-one is irreplaceable. That thing you do that you say is important and no-one else can, either someone else would do it or the people who 'relied' on you would just move on and do something else and you'll be forgotten about. If you don't like the game anymore just quit.
Easy to say when you dont know what i do. Lets say there are about 3 maby 4 people in game that do what i do. I enjoy being able to do that and helping my alliance and corp mates to the extent that i do. Untill ccp makes it so i cant do said thing anymore or i have to physically stop playing or wow vanilla comes out ill keep doing it.
The game is as fun as you make it to be.
I enjoy the game, therefore i still play it
Before i quitted EVE i was playing in 0 sec. When i did not pvp i did ratting and mining to earn isk.
At some point cloaky afk'ing became popular. Basically a stealth bomber with cyno equipped entered system, cloaked up and stayed there AFK. There was no way to decloak and kill em. if you went to do pve , they decloaked caught you and summoned a fleet to kill you off.
There really was no counter for it. Eventually most of the systems were occupied by cloaky campers.
So there was no way to earn isk anymore in null sec .
Is it still the same or there is a way to counter cloaky afk campers and get rid of em? At some point they talked about special building that could decloak. but i dont think it has been implemented yet.
Believe me what he does is nothing special - literally every alliance or coalition has spy and intel networks that work behind the scenes gathering information on what the enemy is doing, as well as spreading misinformation or looking for ways to exploit weaknesses within the structure of Enemies.
Zeta pretends to be "elite" because he's in one of the "elite" alliances of the game - hence why he refuses to tell you what he does in order to remain a special snowflake.
And on the case of the game being fun - that depends on who you are flying with and what you want to do with the game, there have been some really good conflicts of late which have shook up quite a lot, and changed the perceptions of some of the bigger nullsec alliances who people used to.think invincible.
Ive been playing eve since 2006, I've had moments away from the game - but as a line member for the largest alliance in the game as of.this moment, I enjoy the time that I spend playing.
Oh and before zeta slates me for my opinion as he always does - I'd like to remind him of the NC. Keepstar death plus all 19 titans that NC fed that day.
All you had to say was intel. But like Jaelian said, plenty of people do it.
I had to contact CCP recently because they dipped into my bank account and took several months' sub without my permission. Got it refunded very quickly, much to my surprise.
I'm in a real 'meh' phase with EVE at the moment. Even though they're adding stuff to the game it still feels like they're just marking time until all the whales get bored of spending big dollars in the shop. Also the amount of botting is absolutely out of control.

I will agree botting is a huge problem and it has gone unchecked for a considerable amount of time - hopefully CCP can deal with the issues eventually - although with the current DDOS and technical issues I expect they have their hands tied.
Good to hear you got the issue with your bank sorted though, that's a nasty one to deal with at the best of times

Welp, Pearl Abyss, Black Desert developers, are buying up CCP >.>
as someone who doesn't play eve online or black desert why is this bad news? looks like a good thing.
r.i.p. alleria. 1997-2017. blizzard ruined alleria forever. blizz assassinated alleria's character and appearance.
i will never forgive you for this blizzard.
It could be good, cost of running these games is going down every day thanks to better access to server space and bandwidth a la AWS, etc... They bought them either for the IP or the people, and we won't really know until we know!
