Actually I'm a bit confused, Aman'Thul is EU-DE and both Dath'Remar and Khaz'Goroth are OC, how is this supposed to work?
God... some people find a way to complain about everything.
Now getting a well populated server makes you leave? Why? How can that possibly be a bad thing? Ridiculous.
There is nothing wrong with desiring to play on a low- or medium-pop server. It's not as though a community of, let's say, 5000 players is the exact same as one that is double that. If you want to play on a high-pop server like Illidan or some such, you do you. Just don't be saying others shouldn't get to make their own choice in the matter like you did.
And you still fail to say why. Do you plan to get to know every one of those players? Lets just deny the other 4999 players a well populated server cause... whatever it is that makes you not want a well populated server. Yeah, nah. It just sounds like yet another self centered post that doesn't take into account anyone but themselves.
This is an MMORPG, It's very nature is to play with other people. /thread.
I feel bad for people complaining about something that is obviously good for the game.. for people that don’t enjoy the game: it’s time to hang up your mantle and leave - server connects for dead servers are a positive thing..
I have tried to engage in a discussion, but it appears to me you are not interested. At least it can't be said that I didn't make an attempt.
And guess what? Playing on a less-populated server is still participating in an MMO. It's not like we're talking about the LAN parties of old here.
See, that's one the things I (still) wish Blizzard had changed up long ago. Instead of making server transfers an expensive endeavor, have it either be free or a token $1 and put a lengthy cooldown on it. Probably far too late in this game's life to have enough of a positive effect, though. =/
It's crazy that something so simple as connecting low pop realms causes so much controversy here.
They're connecting low pop realms to other low pop realms to make them slightly higher pop. That's really all there is to it. Your life won't even dramatically change in most cases. The only potential negative result is that there will be more people for AH so if you're one of those wow billionaires who make money on AH speculation you're gonna hve more competition now. For the rest of 99,999% players playing on those realms this is either positive or no issue at all.
The actual population of your connected realm only affects guild recruitment and AH. It doesn't change how many people are in the open world because there you see people from other realms anyway.

They're connecting 8 realms together in some situations. If that doesnt affect you, then you're being willfully ignorant.
Poor Ursin, it's so low pop they don't even mention it's part of these merges too.
