Well this has been quite the rollercoaster. Biden looks in good position unless something unforeseen happens in Nevada and/or Arizona but unforeseen has been the name of the game so far, thus nothing is settled yet.

Obviously Trump is already getting the ratfucking machine in gear. Recounts shouldn't amount to much, but legal disputes over Schrodinger's mail-in/absentee ballots (which should exist where Trump currently loses and not where Trump currently wins) will take longer and have more potential consequences.

The election should never have been this close anyhow, but still the Dems have a better chance of winning than not so I can go on and worry about other things for a moment.

This shows you refuse to read what people are telling you. When ACA and Obamacare has as wide a difference in support, the issue is branding. You can have single payer not be called socialism... but, will you let go of principles to have single payer, without it being attached to progressivism?

Supreme court and other BS won't really change anything, unless Trump somehow conjures actual valid claim of real massive voting fraud, which I just don't think will happen really. At most there will be recount here and there and what will it change? Couple hundred votes? Couple thousands even? No go there really.

One thing i find hilarious about those "i hate politicians" is that trump not only became a politician the moment he became president, he was very active in politics even before that. Donald Trump has always been a politician.

My bad, 80-90% of Democratic VOTERS support single payer healthcare/Medicare for All, Democratic Party leadership does not, and recently voted it down as part of their party platform even though their voters overwhelmingly support it, and ~70% of Americans support it.

And...that's a smart move in this climate. Keep the platform loose without any explosive issues to scare away possible GOP converts and conservative independents. The goal was to get Trump out.

Win the election, then legislate in the issues we care about.

Erm, Biden has already won more national votes than Obama did, shattering his record.

If you're talking about EC votes, that's a whole different ballgame.

Bernie isn't, Trump isn't. Almost anyone or anything that isn't in that circle would've gotten more votes from current Trump voters and non-voters.

Why didn't these folks vote in the primaries, then? Every one of these arguments rests on ignoring that Sanders lost the Democratic primary.

How do their votes make any sense, when Sanders is literally telling them that in his opinion the best path to achieving his policy goals is via a liberal Democratic president acting as a stepping stone to those progressive policies rather than a lunatic conservative who wants to do pretty much the opposite of everything Sanders wants?

As a fun fact the head of the legal team for uber is Kamala Harris' brother in law, their consultant on their battle with having to respect labor rights is an ex staffer of hers to boot.
