Dragonflight Alpha/Beta General Discussion

I'm holding out hope for a datamineable build today and alpha starting next week. I'm mostly eager to see some substantial details about the Evoker.

I'm more interested in the dragonriding customizations and other new mounts, aswell as the new shiny models for npc's. Wouldn't mind if Alphas invite start later, but atleast some initial datamining would be good. But well, if not today than I think we will get it next week anyways.

They've been working there since May.

It'll take them 3 months tops to be on top of things. Considering how high the turnover for software developers is, nothing would ever get done if it took people 1.5 years to learn an enviromnent LMAO.

Oh ya I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they are fully accustomed by now I was just pointing out what they would need to adjust to now agreeing with the silly claim that they won’t contribute till post launch.

I think they did it before, datamineable build on a friday then public alpha in the middle of the week after. I'm not sure which expansion it was though.

WoW is running on custom engine, on 20 year old spaghetti code and made with custom tools. You can bet your ass that any developer, no matter how experienced, will have a long acclimation period.

Anyways, the Shadow Priest "Idol of X" talents look super fun! Would love to take all of them haha.

Tbh, it just feels bad to give your dmg cd to someone else if you could use it on yourself instead. The dragonflight solution is so much better.

Oh, absolutely. I just never understood why that wasn't a thing for SP baseline to begin with. I felt like giving them Power Infusion but essentially removing the whole appeal of the ability (being a damage CD you can give to someone else) was a stupid move.

Pretty sure this is in the game right now in some form. Legendary I think?
