Well since it would be close to finals, it might help limit the difficulty in getting certain quests done...so what if you are in college, the world doesn't revolve around your precious schedule.

im in the same boat, dec 7th sux, there so much stuff to do:

    -exams, exams, exams
-buy presents gf, parents, friends, etc
-driving in winter sucks as well(we all have to go to the shop, DONT WE, and there will prolly be a Blizzard out there, ;D /winkwink)
    -oh yeah- MORE EXAMS
    -TRY not to get cold

now...June 7th - MUCH, MUCH better date, - warm, people dont have shit to do, all relaxed n good time for a Cataclysmic event so we can all forsake the summer, the beaches and the peaches and go nerdmode-la-farm! P:

I hope they release new servers a week after launch.

EDIT: And to future replies, I do not consider Cataclysm more important than school. The test will take priority. As well, the LSAT is an international test. If you don't know what it is, you are ignorant. It stands for Law School Admissions Test. It is not a US test, Europeans have no excuse for not knowing what it is.

EDIT 2: The LSAT is in Europe. See here http://www.lsac.org/JD/LSAT/test-dat...-afr-dec10.asp. Wikipedia doesn't know everything.

EDIT 3: This isn't about me in specific. I wouldn't have bought Cataclysm on the 7th anyway due to other engagements.
Here's an idea... that week no good for you to play WoW in? Don't bloody play it! Simples!

  6. #266
If you can't pass exams and play WoW at the same time, it's your problem, not Blizzard's. Most of the WoW players i know who goes to schools\colleges\universitys can do both things and not fail in them.

  7. #267
In all reality, if you have something going on the date it comes out, it shouldn't be a problem(unless you're that weak of will or want server firsts that bad) to wait till after said event is over to play it. As long as its not that it could come out earlier than that, December 7th should be "good" for everyone, it's not gonna make it any better for you that it comes out later.

  8. #268
Am I ignorant because i dont know what a Law School Admissions Test is? You are ignorant to assume everyone in the world knows what that is, and who doesnt know it is instantly ignorant. tough luck u cant play catacylsm hardcore bruh, i hope youreignorance will be gone soon because no one likes ignorant people :>.

I kind of wish they'd put it off for a week, and release it on the Tuesday, Dec. 14th. Dec. 7th is Pearl Harbor Day, for crying out loud!

As an American veteran, I am aware that the WoW fanbase extends far beyond American soil, and the subscribers that play in other countries could give less than a full crap about what happened on Dec. 7th. As a former business major, I'm also aware that releasing a game in time for the holiday season may inspire off-the-chart new sales, as the proceeding hype for Cataclysm is sure to land it on many new wish-lists for Christmas, or the holiday of your racial/religous preference, in addition to the expected return of current subscribers. I get it. It's a sound business decision.

That being said, despite the hype, despite the marketing, despite the sales, the holiday season is ultimately about family. On Dec. 7th, many military families were shattered, and many ones were cut short, never to bloom. I intend to honor that day, as I always do, and I would ask that everyone reading does as well.

To be clear, I'm not pushing for a boycott or anything of that nature, and I realize, as stated before, that nothing short of immediate diaster (or programming mistakes) is going to change that date. Just, as you stand in line for a midnight release, or eagerly download the content from online, take a few moments and dwell on the sacrifices that grant you the capacity to live free from fear, and worry about trivial, inconsequential little things like the release date of a game. There are a wealth of veteran organizations out there, and maybe, just maybe, you could find it in your heart to give a little to them as well this upcoming holiday season.

Has anyone pointed out the fact that not everyone is a lawyer in training?

My Uni exams finish in november, along with the rest of Aus. Seems like Blizzard does care....Bahaha not likey.

Im surprised you didn't mention the christmas blackout period in which multiple people that play this game will have to adhere to in order to make your post actually seem more relevant to the general population rather then just yourself.

Sound post with good value. Every year my father who is also a veteran and I donate to a few of the VFW's. Take care and "welcome home" to all soldiers, European, American, any and all.

I see, I see. Because you have exams, the date should be postponed so you can play more.

Do you know what every accornym stands for? By the way perhaps you shouldn't have been lazy and done what the website advises

"Many law schools require that the LSAT be taken by December for admission the following fall. However, taking the test earlier—in June or September—is often advised."

Take it earlier next time. Also I bet you didn't know what lsat was before researching becoming a lawyer
