active way to remove infraction points

please implement some type of system where we can actively remove infraction points instead of waiting for 90 days or so for them to expire. maybe like an mmo champ forum "traffic school" where if u do it, u can erase the points?

i was going to put this in my previous thread about this topic but elysia closed it...

Look there, following the rules will prevent you from getting infractions in the first place.

The point of the infraction system is to do what you are asking for: educate posters on how to post constructively and politely, which, by the very nature, avoids further infractions. Reducing or removing them before their time would pretty much invalidate the entire idea. If you have no risk of being banned, what stops someone from posting as nonconstructive and rudely as possible? They can just "go to school" and get the points erased.

Provided you toe the line, you have nothing to worry about once they fall of your record and then you don't get banned

well i think it should be applied to minor offenses only. i was infracted for an in before post that triggered a 20 day ban and i see atleast 10 people get away with it daily with no infractions. how is that fair?

If you see people doing things you don't think they should be, we have the report post function just for that

The very nature of the system is so infraction points increase to deter bad behaviour. Your first two "minor" infractions don't even trigger a ban. Then it's 3-days, 1 week, 2 weeks etc.

The best way you can show that you have learned from your mistakes is to stop earning them. They'll go away on their own then.

    ok, that's a fair point.

on another note, why do mods always win?

If you need an example of a post that will likely net you an infraction, here's one (from you): http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/...1#post16009998
