^ Aaaaah! That sword looks so nice! I'm definitely a bit jealous.

So I decided to re-roll my Charr from Thief to Guardian. Since I made a human Thief I grew fond of, and thought I'd love to have a Guardian for both WvW/PvP and PvE, I decided to redo this kitty. I'm definitely happy with how she turned out. <3

@Rukh: Whoa, those look stunning! I'm not personally a fan of heavy armor, but daaaamn those certainly spark some inspiration! And as Valyrian already asked, could you share what dyes you've used? It's amazing to see how different you can get the armor to look with a simple change of dyes.

@dragothica: The chest and legs in the picture are definitely part of the Carapace armor, if you mean the second one. I'm not sure about the feet, though... I would've guessed it might've been from one of the three factions (Whispers, Durman Priory or Vigil), but my search really dismissed that idea. I also tried to browse most armor sets, but I couldn't find a match. Maybe the dyes are making it harder to find the right ones. I'm sure Rukh will provide the right answer.

Welp, Ima keep spamming! I wanted a change for my Norn Ranger, as she's been sporting a mixture of T3 and random parts for quite a while now. I swear I wasted something between 1-2 hours deciding the dyes, and I'm still not sure whether or not I like the result. But for now, this will do.

Thanks! For the warrior, the legs and body are the carpace armor. Head is barbaric helm. Shoulders are banded pauldrons, feet are illustrious greaves (ascended heavy), arms are priory gauntlets. I don't like them that much but they match decently. Dyes are base gunmetal with silver highlights and ruby cloth. The gems are Imperial red.

GW2BTLC has made an awesome application that is "the ultimate tool to find the closest matching dyes."

Basically if you see a dye you want but it is super expensive, you can see the closest matching dyes by percentage to it and the current price on the Trading Post for said dye. Such a great tool. Example in the link below...

Really like this look. I usually don't like the carapace heavy pants/skirt thing with butterfly patterns, but for some reason this combo / color combo really works for me! Nice one

Freakin' finally got my Guardian to level 80! Gah! Though I intend to use her for WvW/PvP mostly, I still needed to get her some PvE-gear before I can get my second Guardian to 80 (which will probably happens in, like, 5 years or something). So! On the left is her PvE-looks and on the right is her WvW/PvP-looks. :3

I am returning from break after I saw daydreamer weapons. Got new hair for necro and some daydreamer weapons (axe, horn, scepter, dagger & gs).

Thief is also quite played. Just got 100% map on her, but armor is kind of boring so I left her out.

I am here with a Charr engineer. Any advice on what to color his accents (the green elixir canister on his arm, the yellow prongs of some sort on his shoulder, etc.) would be appreciated. I might keep the Terminator eye, though. I must say, this screen looked a lot better in game. Used max settings at 1920by1080.

Well, continuing my spam... I wasn't quite happy with my Guardian's WvW/PvP-gear looks, so I went on a spree to find a set I'd like more. And here's what I eventually ended up with! I also changed the dyes from the original idea, and I have to say I like the looks a lot more now.

I really like this one for some reason. I think because the helmet is not often used. And you made a nice combo, it matches well.
