So Tyrael was once an angel and became mortal. I like how his conversations show him trying to become more human. Its kind of funny that he doesnt understand a lot of things, especially love. But Im curious about one thing. Because hes a mortal I assume he can die or be killed so what happens if he does die? The game has established that there is a Heaven and there are Angels. Whether or not you believe that in real life is irrelevant as they both exist in the game world. So say Tyrael does die does that mean he just goes back to Heaven and takes up his old job?
Or can he even be killed? You can kill off your followers if you pull too much or get a bunch of nasty AoE. You also killed off Leah who followed you during a few parts of the game. But no matter how many mobs swarm on Tyrael he never even comes close to dying. He was so damn OP after launch that Blizzard even had to nerf him because he was soloing Rakkis Crossing and parts of Act 4.
Also the new dialogue with Lorath where he cant seem to figure out the whole eating thing makes it seem like he's just now started to eat. Wasnt he already mortal when you find him? So why hasnt he starved to death already? I dont know how much game time passes in the actual game between start of Act 1 where you find him and after you kill Diablo but Im pretty sure its long enough to kill any mortal if they dont eat.
So can Tyrael actually die or be killed? I dont know anything really about previous Lore from Diablo 2 or anything else pertaining to his history. Just going by my observations so far in this game.
