I'd be fine with Tinker, Necro, or Bard.
Dragonsworn feels more like a borrowed power system than a class.

Either a tinker or necromancer. Though I would also like to see more love added to existing classes, like a possible 4th spec. Something like:
Warrior - Blademaster (very fast and agile warrior that uses its speed to their advantage, wears leather and its primary stat is agility)
Rogue - Warden (tanking spec and use umbra crescent as a weapon, wears plate and specialises in blinking, throwing knives and use avatars)
Druid - Keeper of the Grove (support spec that can do both DPS and healing, wears leather and transforms you into an actual Keeper of the Grove)
Mage - Spellbreaker (tanking spec that specialises in stealing and breaking magic, wears plate and uses a huge shield and long sword)
Warlock - Demonborn (tanking spec that transforms the warlock into a bulky demon that uses its scales to protect itself, working similiar like a druid in its bear form)
Priest - Cleric (support spec that can heavily buff other players while also doing some fine healing and DPS, wears cloth but are also more durable compared to their other specs)
Hunter - Dark Ranger (DPS spec that specialises in dark magic and can use skeletons as minions, wears leather and uses unique skins)
Shaman - Earthwarder (tanking spec with the use of earth elementals that heavily increases their armor and uses earthquakes to both slow and pull aggro)
Paladin - Crusader (kind of a hybrid DPS/tank spec where they use a heavy polearm and shield with an arsenal of heavy hitting abilities, but is also slower than most other specs)
Death Knight - Necromancer (DPS spec that takes inspiration from the WC2 DK's, using cloth and ride their horses into battle while their attacks are all fully ranged)
Monk - Meditator (DPS/healing spec that calls upon the celestials and borrow their powers, being able to turn into one for a short time and heavily increases their performances)
Demon Hunter - Bounty Hunter (ranged DPS spec similiar to the DH from Diablo, primarily uses bows and crossbows while using fel magic as ammunition)
And with that you also help out the massive tank shortage
I kinda dig the idea of a Tinker TBH. I think it would bring an entirely new archetype to the game. The game needs a mail class, they can wear mail. The game needs more ranged DPS, they can easily have 1 or 2 specs of that. The game needs another class that can use ranged weaponry, they're quite suitable for the task. And I really don't think they'd be a joke class if done well; lasers, missiles, cannons and lightning guns have been a part of Warcraft since WC3 and they'd fit right into the fantasy kitchen sink that is WoW.
Bard is very general. I prefer the idea of a Skald, a warrior-poet who inspires allies, not by stringing some harp but by bashing skulls or throwing axes as s/he sings songs of ancient wars and heroic deeds. The Chanter from Pillars of Eternity comes to mind, they were skilled fighters who had passive bonuses from their songs and, after chanting enough lyrics, could use powerful Invocations like summons or huge damage buffs. The primary issue is that a support class doesn't function very well in WoW's hotly competitive metagaming mindset. And the primary appeal of a Bard is to be a support class in the first place, at least from most opinions I've seen.
Dragonsworn seem more like a race than a class to me TBH. There's a lot of cool stuff to implement there, but to me thematically they kinda seem like Shamans with dragon powers instead of totems.
Necromancer is I think a no-go at this point I think. We visited the afterlife, including the birthplace of necromancy itself, and we still didn't get them. All 3 classes we got so far were intricately linked to their respective expansion, if there was a time for Blizzard to introduce Necromancers it was Shadowlands and they weren't. Better luck in the next Death-themed expansion, in like 11 or 12 years where we visit the Shadowierlands or something.
My personal favorite would, again, draw from Pillars of Eternity. It had a class called the Cypher, a psychic attacker who used weapon attacks to build up their Focus (usually ranged ones since they were squishy) and then used that Focus to unleash devastating psionic attacks that CCd enemies and demolished their defenses. I loved it in both games and they would be great in WoW, but have no following and no prior history so they have no chance to make it even in an altered state. But I still wish for them.

The internet: where to every action is opposed an unequal overreaction.
Bard for life
As much as I'd love tinker, and think it could fulfill all roles, even a range dps... I'd kill for a proper bard class.
None of them. There are too many classes already. Adding another 3 or 4 specs to the game would just make something that's already cluttered even more so. No to all of them (especially Necromancer...too close to DK's...and tinkers, which would likely decimate a couple of professions).
"...money's most powerful ability is to allow bad people to continue doing bad things at the expense of those who don't have it."
If Blizzard adds Tinker....i'd come back to WoW quickly......They add that with Ethereals too.....and im a kid in candy store.
2021 edition? you mean last week in August 2021 edition as opposed to next weeks first week in September 2021 edition asking for the same thing?
We don't need more classes they cant balance the once we have - what we do need is more and varied stuff to do with the classes we already have.
Haters be damned. Tinker is the only thing that would make me excited about WoW again.
Bard without discussion. Haha
Pet Battler. Class specifically made for the best part of the game. Pet battles. Will be a great addition to WoW when it is on mobile devices!
Bards and machinists are both available on FF14. Just another thing to love about that game!
It messes up the results though since non votes aren't tracked. The poll itself leads you conclusions, which is the problem with forum posting polls. We are lead to conclude the options presented are the only ones, negating others as well as the option of no addition. At the very least, the poll should be:
- In alphabetical order
- Feature a clear and concise question (is this a poll for what people want as a class or what they think the next class will be?)
- Have an option for 'Other'
- Have at least 1 option for 'None', preferably more than one since there are many reasons why
The problem I have with polls like this is that they tend to get used in class discussions with statements like "Well, class X is the most popular class option as evidenced..." and the poll itself is massively flawed.
Id rather each class have 3 to 4 chapters (think ultra marines, blood angels, and dark angels from 40k). Each chapter would have different perks. Similar to covenants but it would be easy to swap between them since the only requirement is being that class. Maybe you get one ability from each chapter but could have a chapter 'doctrine' which gives you a bonus. You can grind rep with that chapter and increase that bonus. That solves the covenant ability issue but also still lets you rep a certain theme.
Yea... nope.
having a "none" or "other" option would more accurately show how many people don't care about adding a class, Not voting really doesn't show an accurate number.. That is more likely WHY there wasn't one of those option because then it would show how few people care.
