Almost like plenty of dems are also right-wing and that MMO-C is an international forum.

"Lean right" doesn't mean "lean Republican-" particularly when you factor in the rest of the developed world where the GOP is an INSANE outlier compared to other countries' right-wing parties.

I wouldn't go that far. Just because some countries have right-wing parties that support national healthcare doesn't take away that they're also nationalist scumbags with theocratic impulses.
Populists (and "national socialists") look at the supposedly secret deals that run the world "behind the scenes". Child's play. Except that childishness is sinister in adults.

The centre-right ones don't tend to be, its the fascist parties, that are rarely in power[outside east europe], that are on the GoP level.

I didn't say that it was an insult; I said that it's used as one.

Mind you, it's typically one of two mindsets doing so:
    • Virginia-school devotees who have a vested interest as spinning it as meaning little more than "badwrongevil" and associating everyone who disagrees with them with such, or:
    • Fear-based individuals who have no earthly clue what it means—or even that it really means anything—and take the Virginia-school devotees at their word.
But the fact remains that it is used as an insult.

For all intents and purposes they do, in all practicality. But don't let reason interrupt your fantastic hair splitting.

I have voted independent for past 8 years. I lean left/right on different issues, and as for voting for individuals, I ask my friends on both sides how they feel about the candidates and go from there. I also tend to have a negative opinion on most incumbents past 2 term/8 years (if we don't want a President for more than 8 why would I want members of congress for more than 8).

What is honestly so bad about someone being a centrist? No one should be far or radicalized. Antifa and Proud boys are both bad groups.

I've seen far too many "centrists" on these boards do nothing but punch to the left on every topic they bother to comment on. there is no such thing as centrism as far as I'm concerned, you either lean left or you lean right. anyone who says otherwise is either lying or is so blinded by their privilanged position they just so happen to share every reactionary take your typical right winger happens to have, because anything that rocks the boat for you is radical.

"What greater weapon is there than to turn an enemy to your cause? To use their own knowledge against them."

If you do not attempt to sway people to your cause and simply dismiss them as disposable then you gain the enemy more voters.

See recent VA election & Hillary calling Trump and Republican voters "Deplorables".

you mean what happens when a bland, boring, establishment Democrat runs a piss poor campaign that hinges entirely not on doing anything for voters but to repeat over and over again: "we're not Trump" and pull an actual false flag operation does nothing to energize voters in a state that went 10+ for Biden in 2020???

that's exactly what the "moderate" democrats did in both cases, do nothing to actually sway people to their side... my goodness what happened in 2016 when Hillary didn't campaign in the rust belt while Trump made that his most important point to appeal to life long democratic voters? the blue wall fell....

like, what point are you trying to make here?

Once again, this is disingenuous of you, as you got caught lying when you tried to pretend you weren't a Trump supporter.

I think it's "Democrats feel voters are disposable"... while you're adding "even their own voters".

Can people have a chance at redeeming with you ? Or even change their opinion ? Or are they forever damned ?

Except, I have literally laid out a timeline of his lies over several years. There is nothing in the behavior that seems genuine. People don't completely swap polticial ideologies a dozen times in 5 years.

Ahhh, the deplorables comment. You know what was the best part about it? She called half of the Trump supporters being deplorable. Not all of them. Half. They themselves identified as being part of the worse half. They could have just shrugged it off, and thought that the comment wasn't directed at them, and that they are decent people. Instead, they got offended, as if Hillary called them out for being bad. Now why would they react like that, I wonder?

No, the best part was that this supposed brilliant politician pulled such an incredibly stupid rookie move as insulting voters. Of course people took it and ran with it, same thing happened when Romney stupidly stated 47% would never vote for him, a far more innocuous comment.

    Except... she was right.

Hell, if anything, she underestimated the number.
