Holypriest.com is parked on a Sedo page. If you aren't familiar with Sedo it is a site that essentially helps you sell your domains, obviously with some sort of commission. The site could be relatively cheap (100-500 dollars) or be rather pricey. However, since Sedo keeps tracks of visit to the page and to the page to buy the site I'm sure posting here and having us bump up its traffic is only going to raise the cost.Originally Posted by Munk
Additionally when choosing a domain name it's often wise to not post your ideas in a public forum. A really good domain name can be worth some money if it happens to not already be taken. It only costs a few bucks to buy a name and park it on Sedo. If you have a little extra money to spare buy a couple names you like and point em all to the same site and decide later or let your visitors vote.
The-Holy-Disciplines.com? >_>
I voted for WoWMonastery, although i like Kelesti's suggestion, lightblessed.com, and also the plain and simple holypriest.com
What's wrong with the current http://www.lightnatured.com/ site ?
Had no clue, nice to know and im happy to learn something new.Originally Posted by Chimpzilla

If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money; but what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I've acquired over a very long career, skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now that will be the end of it. I will not look for you, i will not pursue you but if you don't; I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.

Have you checked when they last updated their information? Its grossly outdated and some information hasn't been valid since pre-2.4. Also, lightnatured.com is a general healing website forum; not an information source for healing priests. Even at that... check out this post: http://www.lightnatured.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2006"]Bored Index, Healing Classes, Priest Healing, Forum Subject: "Dead forum?"[/url]Originally Posted by Nezoia
I'm looking to create a compendium of information specifically for healing priests written in a way that can be easily accessed. EJ, while awesome for me to read, makes other people's brains hurt for a myriad of reasons. You do not need to have a penchant for statistics to play WoW well (though it helps). It would also be nice to have a site where you do not have to dig through hundreds of post to find the "simple" answer your looking for.
Also, I think it would be cool to have strategies and tips for individual boss fights. I'm sure many healing priests have found a neat trick here and there that others haven't though of. Where do you go to find a list like that?
A forum where you know 95% of other posters are healing priests? Awesome.
Have people writing articles from different perspectives? Priests from top-tier progression guilds, normal mode "average" guilds, PvP arena 2v2/3v3/5v5, BG fanatics & twinks. Articles from people who love lore and could write stuff about how priests fit into it? Articles from folks who really know thier stuff about game design and can break down what patch changes will really mean?
How about info on stuff that isnt even ON EJ? Like the breakdown on how the DRs from BoSanc & RH stack?
A collection of bosskills/pvp frapped from a priests perspective?
Fun stuff for folks who play priests would find amusing/entertaining?
I haven't found a site like that. Would be cool if it existed though.
if holypriest.com costs over 100 euros then go for holy-priest.com

My God, what a horrible creation. People seeing what they want? Thank God they tried to shy away from that. I know it pisses me off when I'm in an heroic raid, yet in the back of my head all I can think is 'some casual player is playing a heroic dungeon and not wiping.' -Vodkarn
I went for www.penitentpriest.com as it sounds awesome.
But I did like the suggestion of powerwordforum.com etc, something to tie it into Priest's definitely.
The problem with several forums is drawing enough community towards them, and I think a forum consistant 100% of same class and spec would lead to very flawed discussions, such as shadowpriest.comOriginally Posted by [-Spiritus-
And I think there's already to many different forums to discuss class subjects on.
The purpose of the site wouldn't be to provide a forum (though there would be one). The purpose of the site would be to lay out specific information relevant to healing as a priest. Forums are a HORRIBLE medium to convey such information.Originally Posted by Nezoia
As an aside, I fail to understand how having a forum consisting of a majority of the same class would lead to flawed discussion.
Panel 1 on the future of US/Iranian Relations:
(1) Expert on US/Iranian Relations
(2) Expert on US/Iranian Relations
(3) Expert on US/Iranian Relations
(4) Expert on US/Iranian Relations
(5) Expert on US/Iranian Relations
Panel 2 on the future of US/Iranian Relations:
(1) Expert on US/Iranian Relations
(2) Expert on Iranian cuisine
(3) Expert on US folklore
(4) Expert on Central Asian banking policy
(5) Expert mountain climber (there are mountains in Iran FYI)
I think Panel 1 would have a much less flawed discussion on the subject than panel 2.
If you disdain entrepreneurial spirit, you can just say so. I wouldn't think any less of ya. But to say there is a top-notch resource for holy&disco priests to *learn* about their class (in a non-EJ way) is a fallacy.
It's not to disdain you, it's more to provide questions, you may, or may not, have thought about. A important part in that of creating a community.
You are familiar with www.dwarfpriest.com , yes?
Yup. I've visited dwarfpriest.com before. It contains a vast amount of information that hasn't been valid since 2.4.Originally Posted by Nezoia

I wasn't accusing you of having malice for me. Rather you seemed off-put to the fundamentals of the idea. However, I do agree that it is important to have folks question your decisions to craft the best possible path.
For that, thanks!
