World First Dragonwrath / Legendary Staff, Patch 4.2 Hotfixes - August 10

World first Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest by Siiz (US-Senjin / Premonition)
Siiz from Premonition (US - Sen'jin) was the first player in the world to acquire Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest! Congratulations to him.

And to answer the top 2 questions about the mount portion of the staff:

  • The mount has a 1.5 sec cast time just like any other mount.
  • People can't ride on your back.
  • The giant dragon in the 2nd screenshot isn't the mount, it's Tarecgosa during the end event of the questline.

Classes
Death Knight (Forums / Talent Calculator / Skills/Talents)
  • Applicable death knight abilities are now using the correct amount of resources (and putting them on cooldown) when there are 4 Death Runes available and the Unholy Runes are depleted.

Druid (Forums / Talent Calculator / Skills/Talents)
  • Druids that shapeshift will now clear the Potion of Illusion buff.

Mage (Forums / Talent Calculator / Skills/Talents)
  • Combustion damage from Ignite is no longer penalized by Resilience more than once, nor can it gain double benefit from Flashburn (mastery).

Dungeons & Raids
Dungeon Finder
  • If a player is kicked by vote from a dungeon finder group, the leader of the group is no longer able to invite that player back.

Firelands
  • Rogue Smoke Bombs cannot prevent the spawning of Magma Traps during the fight against Ragnaros.
  • Several creatures in the Firelands are no longer susceptible to snares or other immobilizing effects.
  • Unbound Pyrelords, Unbound Smoldering Elementals, Unbound Blazing Elementals, and Patriarch Fire Turtles now drop silver instead of gold.

Guilds
  • The Recently Mass Resurrected debuff is correctly being applied to players who are in the process of logging out of the game.

Items
  • Brawler's Trophy and Core of Ripeness cannot be active at the same time as each other, or other burst trinkets.
  • Eternal Embers are now epic quality.
  • Heirloom items can once again be linked in chat.
  • Creating a macro to use the Runestaff of Nordrassil multiple times will only trigger the use once.

Quests & Creatures
Hyjal Regrowth & Molten Front
  • The Burning Treants summoned by the Druid of the Flame now disappear when the summoner is captured.
  • 3 different elementals spawn on any given day for the Death From Above achievement, up from 1.

    Well done you o god of RNG. It wouldn't be so bad if the DFA quest was available every day; as it is it's pot luck whether it appears or not and THEN you have to hope you'll find the right mob.

    Just keep the quest in your log and you can do it every day afaik... that's how I got it, did the quest 7 days in a row. I heard you can even choose shadow wardens while you do this so you don't miss any marks, but if you care about completion I imagine you don't need them very badly anyway.

    Not true our ele shaman in my guild would have gotten world first he is only 2 boss drains away and we screwed up when we did the 4 quests not reailzing you could whipe before we had 1 shotted 2 bosses whell making it. So he lost 2 boss's of cinders which put him 2 boss's of drain behind. Long story short we didnt exploit and he is 2 bosses away so legitly if they did the 4 quests before killing bosses and had good droprate this was 100% legit.

    gz to siiz / premonition. one question though: the last piece for the legendary - I remember it to be a drop from ragnaros. whatever it is, is it required to drop from HC ragnaros or does it also drop "just" from normal mode?

    If you keep "Into the fire" at completed and do not turn it in, and keep "Fire from the Skies" in your quest log as well. You can return every day to do the bombing run without having to do a single daily for Molten Front. This of course is for people who are done with the area and just need the achievement. I have one left to go, glad they made this change. Kept seeing the same elemental every day >.>
