Hmm... the more I thought of Heroes as a WoW expansion title, the more I started to like it...

HOWEVER, I also don't really care for CCGs and I am fucking ADDICTED to Hearthstone.
I'm cautiously optimistic this could be a MOBA I'd like.

What is the heck are those little mario bros icons spinning around in the "o" of heroes? A power star? Is that Kirby? Looks AWFUL.

My guess is they are making some super bad, casual version meant to be played on a tablet / iphone so as to not compete with the real versions of these games.

Meh, the free to play model sucks. It didn't work well with HoN and it doesn't work well with Dota, the reason being that there's no penalty to breaking the rules or being an overall douchebag. Oh no, they banned his account, he already has 5 other accounts ready to go since they don't cost anything...

But it will most likely be a free to play with an in-game store where you can buy cosmetic stuff, just like the other ones.

I really have no confidence in Blizzards ability to be successful in the MOBA area however, but it would be nice if they proved me wrong.

No... that's a youtube channel that make everything more cartoon like...

The first icon is a orc head (Warcraft), the second one is a small red head with hornes (Diablo) and the star is starcraft

The only hope this game has is that it's tied to your BNet account, so people may be less inclined to be worse than Hitler all the time just for the fun of it. If they solve the toxic player-base issue by strict enforcement of permabans then it might be worth playing. If it's free to play it will be shit.

Also tie competetive rewards in HotS to exclusive rewards (mounts/titles/etc) in WoW / Diablo and holy crap they might have just saved both franchises.

What makes F2P shit. LoL is F2P to a degree(admittingly different of course). What could help that make it *work*.

LoL might have a huge playerbase but it also has a really awesome reputation of a terribly toxic community. HoN has the same problem, and it's a problem that will be ever more noticeable in Dota as time goes along.

Free to Play = feel free to be as big of a dick as you want because no matter how severe the punishment of the ban is, the person can just create another account moments later.

Damn, I kinda hoped that this would be the name of the next expansion. Not actually thought it would be, but hoped.

Imagine the cheesy powermetal theme of everything. The name "Heroes of the Storm" suggest something maybe not excactly good, but quite awesome, with flying thunder dragons shooting battleaxes from their eyes and robo-dinosaurs being ridden byfiery demons. And in the middle of it all, us, Heroes of the Storm, kicking all sorts of ass.

Yeah, I agree, it doesn't fit WoW too much, but still pretty sweet.

The team that develops Hearthstone is really small, I doubt they would speed up the release for HotS all that much.

Yep agreed. I'll be surprised if it's not linked to BN. It has to be. It's their central hub for all their games and the game will be launched from the BN launcher etc. And this will hopefully be enough of a deterrent to prevent people abusing the game.

I was referring to Dota 2 with Dota, and as I said in the post it's a problem that will become more and more noticeable. Dota 2 is still really young and came out of its beta quite recently, give it a year and we will probably see the same shit I experienced in HoN.
